Check Out Jose Paredes’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose Paredes.

Hi Jose, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career in the Automotive paint protection industry back in 2014 at Lamborghini Dallas, which is located in Richardson. I was employed there for 6yrs and was the only PPF installer at the time. I am Certified through Xpel which is a leader in the PPF market and is based out of San Antonio, TX. I trained there at their corporate headquarters for a week before passing the certification test. Working for Lamborghini was my dream job, and I felt as if I had reached my ceiling in the corporate environment doing what I do. My only move at that point was to leave my dream job and start working on my craft independently. I came up with my business name based on Latino/Mexican culture. Where people consider having a personal means of transportation a Luxury. It could be a bicycle, car, or truck. Having something to get you from point A to Point B, they consider a Luxury. So, my business is in the Paint Protection industry. You want to Spoil your Luxuries, protect your passion. People work hard for what they can afford and want to protect it. Like a Spa treatment for your ride.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was scary leaving the comfort of a steady guaranteed paycheck working for the dealership; I hadn’t really made a name for myself as I was just “the PPF guy” at the dealership. I was also going to get a lease on a shop right as Covid hit, so that put a pause on that. I had to work on getting my name and brand out by attending several car shows/car meet to meet people and put a face and name to my work.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Although my profession is in the Automotive field. I tend to look at my specific line of work as a form of art. Not everyone can do it. What sets me apart from others is that I am as supercritical of the outcome of my work. If I’m not content with the way something looks, I take it upon myself to redo the specific panel until I’m happy with it. I treat every vehicle as if it were my personal ride. Honestly is something I rely on heavily, being upfront and honest with my customers. Showed them and explained everything I did on their rides. It’s fun educating them on the product and teaching them about what they are spending their hard-earned money on.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is knowing that I am delivering the very best quality work to my customers and knowing that they are very happy with the outcome. Word of mouth has been what has gotten me more customers and generally turn into long-term friendships/relationships.
