Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelvin Spencer.
Hi Kelvin, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
If I were to pick a moment of my life to start from, I’d start from age 19. I’m 35 now, a technology enthusiast/investor, who just so happens to know how to program. A large part of my life I consider to have had the most impact on my growth as a human was during a time I created music. I created songs about my life that ultimately became an audio journal about what was on my mind. Fast forward many years later, I wanted to create something that could help educate, inspired, and entertain society beyond the typical things we seek day-to-day. I wanted to push the boundary, thus born Techish RapStarBytes. My primary focus today is building this platform and metaverse to house a community of aspiring and inspired creators to continue learning while having fun. How to avoid pitfalls on a path less taken. I plan on using my network to grow the platform’s reach, in hopes to encourage creators to seek their passion and understand that happiness is something you can create.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t believe anyone’s road is smooth, if it is, then this is a confirmation that you’re in a simulation. For me, I’m going to replace the word struggles with obtaining knowledge. Things that have been opportunities to gain knowledge for me, range from, lacking the necessary knowledge, to understanding when to process knowledge. Not knowing what you want in life is a hard thing to overcome, and it typically relays back to not knowing what you are capable of, the knowledge on what’s available, or even just knowing what you desire. Thinking that what I desire is out of reach, presented one of the greatest opportunities for me to learn how to reprogram myself to think about differently. As a creator, if no one wanted to give me an opportunity, I must not be seeking what I desire or I don’t have the right knowledge. So, I continuously ask myself, is this what I really want? Until I tell myself the truth.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m most known for Techish RapStarBytes; it’s taken Web 3.0 by storm. Anytime anyone brings it up or comes across it, tons of questions and interest flood in. Because of my engineering specialty, I was able to create a play-to-earn platform to allow creators to become rappers in the metaverse. No one is doing this right now. The future of the web is web 3.0 and a big component in this space is and will be the play-to-earn model. No one will seek entertainment on the web without some form of reward. Based on that, I’d have to say, Techish RapStarBytes is definitely one of my creations I’m most proud. Mainly because the vast culmination of knowledge and relationships from different parts of my life are integrated together to create the space. I believe it will become a staple in many people journeys without a doubt.
