Check Out Logan McPherson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Logan McPherson.

Hi Logan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I grew up in Springtown, Texas; a small town outside of Fort Worth. I moved to Dallas to continue my baseball career at the University of Texas at Dallas. When the whole world stopped because of the pandemic, I took that opportunity of stagnation to get my real estate license. It was something I had considered during my time in college but never got around to it due to my busy schedule balancing a full load of classes, being a student-athlete, and working part-time serving tables on the weekends.

Real estate just made sense for me. I have always had a passion for helping people. I wanted a career that would keep me out of an office cubicle. My background in sports, specifically baseball, taught me how to stay calm under intense pressure. I was the closing pitcher for my college team. My job was to come in during the last innings of the game and close out a victory for my team. I have always loved having my back against the wall and with all the pressure on me to get the job done. As a realtor, some transactions can fall apart real quick, due to unforeseen circumstances; it’s my job to remain calm and find a solution to any problem that may arise to make sure the deal gets closed.

Shortly after getting my real estate license, Rogers reached out to me about joining his brokerage. We had an incredible conversation about where the company was headed, and I trusted him to mold me into an agent that would have a long and successful career in real estate. Since joining Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate, I have surrounded myself with some of the best agents and people in Dallas. I owe a lot of credit to the people who have taken the time to mentor me and share their knowledge and experiences with me. I have seen many great agents grow their businesses, handle conflicts, and prioritize other people’s needs above their own.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth ride by any means. However, I would not have it any other way. Being a new, young agent in one of the best real estate markets in the country is extremely difficult. The grind of real estate is definitely not for the faint-hearted. In my first several months, I only failed. Nothing was going right. However, every failure brought me closer to my next victory. My main struggles were leveraging my social media and network and learning a massive amount of information in a short time frame. To this day, I do not have it all figured out, but I am constantly learning and evolving to better myself in the journey. Creating relevant content on social media to keep my audience engaged takes a lot of practice. I am thankful that I have great people whom I trust to give me helpful feedback and criticism on social media posts. Asking my friends for their business and help was really hard for me. I was asking people who I’ve known my entire life to trust me in handling their real estate transactions. That is a lot of pressure, but I look back now and think about how silly that fear of failure was. I have been blessed to be able to help many friends and family with finding an apartment, buying their first home, or even selling their house. Our relationships have been strengthened through trust and open communication.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I represent anyone looking to buy/sell/lease any piece of real estate. I specialize in helping people with a smooth transaction. Currently, I am working on helping friends move into their first apartments after college or buy their first homes. I am even representing a client trying to sell his 169 acre farm. When I say I do it all, I mean it. I am known for my hard work and dedication to serving others. I am one hundred percent committed to serving your needs, any way I can. What sets me apart? You probably won’t meet another real estate agent in Dallas that can rock a suit with ostrich boots better than I can.

I want the readers of Voyage Magazine to know that if they want someone who they can trust, and who will work hard for them, I am your guy. I genuinely love helping people. My goal is to save you time, money, and energy. Whether I’m helping you find a $1,000/month studio apartment Downtown or helping you sell your $1,000,000 home, you are going to get the same standard of service. No matter how big the deal, you will always be my most important client. When someone puts their trust in me, I do not take it for granted.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Success is not measured by how much money you make, how many transactions you close, or how you look on social media. I measure success by how much I can help other people; this is the most important part of my job. Helping people will always bring more fulfillment than having selfish ambitions. I have found that any goals or achievements that were rooted in selfish desires always left me feeling more empty than those that were rooted in selflessly serving others.
