Check Out MoneyBaby XO’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to MoneyBaby XO.

MoneyBaby XO (Monee Babee Zo) was born in Boston, MA; grew up in Raleigh, NC and spent several weekends visiting her Great Grandmother in Low Country; Ridgeland, SC. The diversity from each area laid a solid foundation for XO’s voice and creativity. XO went to college in Richmond, VA and became a disc-jockey at WVCW; radio personality and became Program Director before relocating to Atlanta, GA. No matter what position XO had working in the music and entertainment world, she always wanted to support other talents by hosting media interviews and dabbling in artist development. Now XO has decided to take her talents back to music and rap about her life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Currently, returning to the music world is a struggle. After a certain age time is critical. It’s hard to choose between spending time with my parents or traveling to Atlanta to pursue music full time. I do not have a manager or assistant. I’m self-funded; from clothing, to recording equipment and releasing my music. Every day I plan, prepare and apply myself to obtain certain goals. I look forward to this journey even if I must do everything solo.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I hope to specialize in songwriting. I’m known for comical lyrics and diverse style. Today, I can honestly say being able to wake up every day and live a glimpse of my dream job is amazing. Encouraging those around me to follow their dreams and pursue daily goals is the reason people enjoy my personality.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Honestly, luck is a word that lacks meaning to me. I believe hard work and dedication plays a key role in my life. Luck is seen as good or bad when someone who doesn’t see all your hard work or achievements up close. Bad luck is a way of not accepting a dead end and willing to try again or take a different route.
