So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey into the Beauty industry really began when I got Microblading done myself. It truly changed my life. I felt beautiful, more confident, and the best part was how much time it saved me every morning getting ready. It was wonderful.
My passion for the Beauty industry just grew from there, I decided to go back to school, and I obtained my Esthetician License. I chose to train for Microblading under a very Prominent Permanent Makeup Artist, Sheila Bella in Beverly Hills, CA. and took it a step further and also trained under PhiBrows Academy, which is an International Academy known world wide as one of the most rigorous training in the industry for Permanent Makeup.
I decided to start my own salon to provide my clients with beautiful results, and an amazing experience. I have been in business now for over a year and growing every day. I couldn’t be happier. Having a happy client leave the salon feeling beautiful and confident is what I strive for every day. Happy Client, Happy life!!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely was not a smooth road lol! If there are women out there thinking of starting their own business, be prepared to be 100% committed. It takes a lot of commitment, hard work, long hours and tons of sacrifice. You truly have to love what you do.
One of my biggest challenges when starting my salon was getting my name out there. I had to learn how to really market myself, my work and my salon. Social media and word of mouth was really important in getting my name out there.
My advice to young women starting their business is to NOT give up! Be consistent with your work, keep your skills sharp because your work can separate you from others in the same industry. Be confident! You have the training and knowledge to do well.
What should we know about Valencia Brows + Beauty Bar? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
So, being a Licensed Esthetician, a Certified Phibrows Artist, Certified Eyelash Extension Artist and a MUA allows me to provide a variety service to my clients. I offer services from Facial treatments, Eyelash Extensions, Microblading, Powder Brows and other various Brow treatments.
My true specialty and main service is definitely Microblading, Microshading, and Powder Brows, I just love the whole process of Permanent Makeup, and how it can help women feel transformed and beautiful.
I am the proudest of my training because it allows me to deliver beautiful results for my clients and I believe that is what sets me apart.
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
One of my inspirations in this industry is Sheila Bella, who I trained within Beverly Hills, her story was amazing and really inspired me to pursue my passion and allowed me to see that this can truly be a career that can be so rewarding.
Her journey really spoke to me and encouraged me to take that leap from a corporate job to following my passion and starting my own business, and being my own boss.
