Today we’d like to introduce you to Teresa Tran.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began sharing with my friends and family how great essential oils were benefitting my family. I started using them because I wanted to turn to a more natural lifestyle. Once you experience how powerful Young Living Essential Oils are, it is hard not to share with your loved ones. My team has now grown to over 600 members.
I have always been drawn to a more holistic lifestyle. After I had my daughter, I knew I only wanted the best for her. As I started researching what that was, I knew Young Living was the company I wanted to stand behind because I trusted their products on my family. When you love something, you share it. That’s how I turned what was once a desire to do better, to now a business of helping ALL mamas do better. My team has grown to over 600 families that we have been able to help. It’s such an incredible feeling to know that we are helping families start new habits & routine.
Has it been a smooth road?
At the time, I started my business I had a full-time job as a teacher. It was hard to juggle both. I started asking myself if I could get further with Young Living if I had more time to dedicate to it. Once that answer became clearer, I was able to leave teaching.
Leading a team is something that I am striving to get better at. I love to read personal growth books and podcasts that will fuel me with tips on leading and mindset. I don’t think you can grow without working on yourself personally.
I personally don’t believe anything worthwhile comes easy. I look forward to the peaks and valleys for growth & learning.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a health and wellness educator. I teach people how to use essential oils and non-toxic products to lead a natural lifestyle.
What I am proud of most is the community we have created. Both in business and with our members. In business, we do a lot of team building within our team and our crosslines. Working with crosslines is amazing because there’s always a brilliant idea stirring and as a team, we come together to collaborate and bring the idea to life.
Within our members, we have created an amazing community of like-minded people who are learning to know and do better for their family. We nurture friendships and foster relationships through one another.
For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
Goodness, absolutely! As a woman in today’s world, we have so many opportunities to do better. We are so fortunate to live in this digital age of knowledge! I believe that when you arm someone with information at their fingertips, seeds are planted. We start asking questions. We start researching. We don’t just have to fix a problem; now we can get to the root of that problem. For example, we don’t have to just fix children with ADD by medicating them. We can now teach moms what leads to ADD, signs & symptoms, routine, habits & how to avoid it, & help support their children’s body. Ask questions, find the solutions, & then teach our children how to do the same. Rinse & repeat.
