Conversations with Billiejo Hudson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Billiejo Hudson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started breeding as a hobby with a friend and found such a passion for my dogs and wanted to share them with the world! I started to dig deeper into the medical side of things and found that I love taking care of babies from the time they are born to the time the go home. That’s when I decided to whelp for others to ensure a quality of care not given typically. It meant digging further into the neonatal phase and their growth from even before birth. I have worked my way to where I am by helping everyone and living life my blood type “B+”. This gives me the ability to work with multiple people and have a great circle of professionals to work with.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No! It’s definitely been a rocky road. I have experienced every hurdle in breeding and whelping one could imagine.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in raising all breeds for professional breeder in the country. I am able to provide medical care, birthing care, reproductive care, and Whelping assistance. I go above and beyond for every client and have been told that I do too much for my clients but wouldn’t have it any other way!

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Keep going no matter how hard it is!
