Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Anderson.
Hi Jasmine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I am from a small town in Virginia. I had multiple goals and visions for myself starting at a very young age. Above all and all I know I wanted to be successful. My career goals changed pretty often. In 2012 I started college and had changed my mind multiple times on what I wanted to major in. So, I just was considered an undecided major for my first two years and just completed my general requirements. Going into my second year of college I decided I wanted to major in Psychology. In 2016 I graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in human services. My plans were to become a licensed counselor. I was extremely passionate about helping others regardless of age, sex, race, and sexual orientation. I know life has its challenges and I just wanted to be there for individuals that were going through something traumatic, heartbreaking, stressful, or something as simple as just needing to vent. However, due to not having my master’s trying to obtain a starting position was a huge challenge. I quickly became stressed, overwhelmed, and tired. I started to give up and started working jobs that weren’t completely satisfying. I tried a lot of different things within the years trying to find something I enjoyed because going back to school for my master’s seemed to become impossible. I joined the United States army national guard with the intention of going back to school and getting back into what I was passionate about. Needless to say, that didn’t go as planned. Immediately after I finished basic training, I started my YouTube channel in 2017. I started it for fun and was told by an ex bestfriend that I would be great at it. Therefore, I gave it a shot. Ever since then I haven’t stopped. I have had my downfalls and times where I slacked off but never gave up. My channels motto is “my life your entertainment” where I record vlogs, fashion, mukbangs, reaction videos, LGBTQ content, and life talks. I soon started utilizing my channel to help others. I have went through a lot of challenges in my lifetime and I quickly began to realize that I wanted to go about my passion in my own ways. So, I use my YouTube channel for just that. I help individuals facing a lot of challenges every day without even knowing it rather it be making them laugh, keeping them entertained or simply having them deeply tuned in to my deep convos in regards to challenges I’ve faced and seen others face. I have faced many challenges throughout the years since I’ve started my YouTube but that hasn’t stopped me from moving forward. In 2019 I faced one of my darkest moments as an adult and I had to dig myself out of a very deep depression and start setting new goals for myself. My biggest goal I had soon set for myself was to move out of my hometown in Virginia. With hard work, faith, dedication, God and law of attraction, and positive affirmations I did just that. In 2021 I packed up everything I owned in my Nissan and drove to my new apartment. Texas was the perfect place to start over and focus on my future goals, further my YouTube and personal career, and be with my beautiful girlfriend.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I will say there has been some smooth moments but I strongly believe nothing in life worth having comes easy. Therefore, I have definitely faced some challenges along the way; from battling with depression to finding out that I have severe anxiety to name a few
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I currently am a full-time leasing agent. I am very new in this industry and absolutely love it! I have learned a lot and it’s leading me to another career goal I have set for myself. I also create content. I’m a small growing Youtuber, public figure, and content creator. Honestly, right now I can honestly say what I’m most proud of is packing up and moving to a new state far away from family and friends where I knew no one besides my current girlfriend. I am very different. Therefore, I can say a lot of different things set me apart from others. Some examples are my ambition, my drive, my hustle, and my personality
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I try to stay away from the word luck. As I am a very spiritual person and I believe in God so I strongly believe he has gotten me this far in life. Needless to say, I am truly blessed.
