Conversations with Mary Bahena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Bahena.

Hi Mary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Texas native, born and raised. Middle child to six kids, my parents migrated to Texas due to economic deprivation in Mexico. Growing up I never thought this is where I would be, I had big dreams to have a job never an actual career that I enjoy doing every day. My parents thought me to hard work, values, and morals but most of all to never give up, you can start from nothing and have everything. My dad put himself through school, learned the language, and worked various jobs until he started his own business, from then on, I knew if he could succeed I could too. There were days where he didn’t have much but he would still be able to make sure we were all taken care of and still was able to help others. I guess you could say that’s where my love for helping others started. I earned my real estate license after working for a mortgage company/hard money lender after 6 years in the business. Now two beautiful kids and I’m engaged to the love of my life and so far, life is good.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been many challenges, especially during this crazy market. From low inventory, material prices spikes, and shortages, interest rates constantly changing. Had to adapt to the market and continuously look for new methods to sell in this market. Giving up is not an option, I find a way every time to grow with whatever the market throws my way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Having worked in the real estate industry for the last 8 years, I’m experienced with everything from marketing, property management to legal work, property rehab, and now I am one of the only realtors in the DFW area listing 3D printed concrete homes. I love helping people find their dream home or investment properties whenever the situation maybe I get to help people bring their dreams to life.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Very success story starts with dedication and consistency, everything else is a plus.
