Hi Meek, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi I’m Manny and I always had a passion for music as a young man growing up in South Dallas, I was always listening to Ugk & Lil Wayne. They inspired me I studied them and birthed my own Sound & Style. The year 2015 I recorded my 1st song in a real studio but it wasn’t until 2020 when I started taking my craft serious my best friend passed away and it lit a fire in me to really go after what I want in life that’s when I dropped my single “Klew World” and from then I haven’t let up.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road I’ve had to deal with depression from feeling like I’m not good enough and me being not where I wanna be, I’ve lost life long friends due to envy and jealousy so many failed relationships because of the lack of understanding that this music comes 1st before anything this is what I do it’s who I am and the list goes on.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a rapper, I specialize in rapping I’m known for rapping. I’m proud that I’ve come far and not given up on myself and what sets me apart from others is that I’m really versatile, my work ethic you can’t out work me and most of all my sound my sound alone sets me apart from every other rapper in Texas I can go pop rock if I wanted that lane I have the image and I’m moldable it’s literally my world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in good and bad luck. I believe that if you work for it, it’ll come that’s your good luck if you look at it that way… bad stuff happens rather you understand it or not it can sometimes be unavoidable that doesn’t mean you have bad luck it just means try again.
