Conversations with Stephanie Saunders

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Saunders.

Hi Stephanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My journey into real estate was serendipitous. My early education and career was in the performing arts and I always worked in luxury beauty sales in college and in Los Angeles on the side of my professional pursuits. When I returned back to my home state of New Hampshire in my mid 30’s, I became a full-time beauty stylist for Nordstrom and built an excellent book of business by utilizing the power of social media and video to reach consumers. I was in love with the architecture and the home styles in New England, and a family member thought I would be an excellent fit with my media training and sales acumen for the real estate industry. I was intrigued, took the exam, and never looked back! I absolutely love the career and where I believe the industry is headed in the future and look forward to being a part of that change. Bringing a director’s eye to massive online marketing for my listings, I was awarded the Innovator in Marketing 2021 by the North East Association of REALTORS and continue to raise the bar on modern real estate marketing and content creation.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anyone in the real estate industry knows that “smooth” is what we hope for, but rarely does that happen! Having a strategic plan in place before issues arise is the best course of action. Coupled with communication, honesty, integrity, and a positive attitude, any problem is able to be solved amicably by all parties involved. As long as everyone stays fluid and has the same goal in mind… to close the deal!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As I mentioned, I bring my background in theater and entertainment to my real estate sales. When you list with me and my team, your home is the star of the show and I work tirelessly to create a beautiful and impactful product for market. I invest heavily in staging and hire professional photographers and videographers to help me craft a bespoke story for each property. I also create short-form vertical content that acts as ‘coming soon’ trailers for the listings to help create buzz and spend a large amount of resources on digital advertising as gone are the days where a sign and some iPhone photo sell a home for top dollar. Buyers are so much more intelligent and with competition creeping back up as the market begins to shift, the creative and the bold will rise to the top and I’ll have to think of even more exciting ways to bring multiple offers to all my clients and make sure they leave no money on the table on their most prized asset.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
YES! My Managing Broker and Team Leader of Key Team at Compass, Susan Monette, inspires me on the daily! Also, we have an incredible team of 9 women who support each other’s business and continue to raise the bar for our local real estate community. And also, we have an incredible support team of contractors, administration, lawyers, title reps, stagers, builders…it takes a village! And I’m grateful for all the hard work everyone does to get deals CLOSED!
