Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Moore.
Hi Anthony, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I like to say I’m just a little boy from Fort Worth, Texas with a whole lot of perspective. I spent most of my life seeing life through a different lens and my life experiences have molded me into the man I am. I am from Fort Worth, Texas where I was raised by my grandmother, the strongest woman I have ever known, along with my two younger siblings and her passing during my freshman year of college was both devastating and motivating to make a huge transition into adulthood. Around that same time, I became a father for the first time and got married, all at the age of 19. To cut through I also was divorced eight years later and had a hard uphill battle to recover. My entire life I have been an artist, music, speaking, poetry etc. as well as a stark athlete. The church and being a believer (Christian) has by far kept me through rough patches and set the foundation for my keen perspective.
I discovered podcasting 4-5 years ago and it has become my home away from home, being in front of the mic. Everyone is searching for an outlet and I am absolutely in love with the process and the ability to create. I decided to make a variety of podcasts for the Millenial and generation X Christian male, where we talk about life and life experiences. I desire to provide a safe haven for Christians to experience life as it is happening, free from judgment. Every podcast is structured with a pop culture segment, a sports segment and a more in-depth segment that is about something to ensure the listener/viewer has something to chew on and challenge them for the upcoming week. I have definitely had challenges like most but have used my early challenges with driving me to push past any obstacle.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Lack of resources, finances and my own stubbornness has made the road very challenging to even be in the position I am in right now. To progress in the podcasting industry, you have to have great audio. Having now three children and a new marriage has presented challenges to record, to provide top-notch audio for the listeners and the time to create it all. Also, having a job that takes up the most productive part of your day energy-wise. A podcast requires you to keep the listener engaged and initially, I worked overnight and recorded afterwards. It showed as I often sounded quite lifeless while recording.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I went into being a full time certified personal trainer in 2014. I also drove for Uber and started working evening into the wee hours as a security supervisor for Boomerjacks for 2 1/2 years. I would literally work 15-16 hour days juggling three jobs and attempting to split time with my ex-wife for my daughter. I then transitioned into working for the post office, where I have now been for 2 1/2 years. I am most proud that I have been able to be consistent with content for the podcast and be a new husband and now father of three all while still pulling 12-15 hour days most nights. I don’t have the ability to quit. I really believe my ability to learn and see the process through is unrivaled. Most say that they won’t be outworked, I just mean it and show it through results. My motto in life is to shut up and get it done. I also have the ability to be realistic yet objective about most situations and events in life.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I have had multiple near-death experiences all under the age of 12. Sad to say I am an open book otherwise.
