Ashlee C. is the founder of Produced by Ashlee & Associates, where she serves as Executive Producer, Casting Associate, and Production Development Specialist. Ashlee’s wide-ranging knowledge of production has given her opportunities to produce commercial work for major brands like HomeDepot, Ignite Grilling, LA Fitness, and American Girl. As her passion grew for production, Ashlee found herself successfully developing, producing, and pitching stirring short & feature films to a cumulative group of investors and well-known companies. Ashlee’s aspire to be the bridge between independent creators and the film industry by producing proficient filmmakers and stellar content that impacts the world.
After Covid hit the nation, Ashlee was forced to focus more on the development side of production where she guides writers through the script development phase. This is when she found a common problem! So many writers are struggling with developing, structuring, and ultimately creating a marketable story. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been easy climbing the production ladder but it’s been very rewarding! The connections and opportunities to work with top industry leaders has been a highlight of her career! It’s never easy being the underdog however, it has taught me that I am more than capable of performing well in a highly populated industry! No struggle has been in vain. It’s all purpose and destiny!

At the beginning of my production journey, I was a production assistant. Simply helping others bring their vision to life. After a while, it became a passion. I went on to school to further my knowledge and begin accepting opportunities to produce independent projects. As much as I would love to say I like working on major sets, it’s working with independent artist that brings me the most satisfaction! Because I was an independent filmmaker. I understand the struggle of not having a budget or the right people to effectively commutate your vision.
independents hold a special place in my heart. They are the most tenacious, creative go-getters! That’s why it’s my mission to become the bridge for independent filmmakers today!
What does success mean to you?
Success is doing something that absolutely makes you happy! Rather paid or not! I consider a lot of independent filmmakers successful even if they have not made it to the big screen. I know the amount work and energy it takes to just write a script alone. Success is not defined by the destination but by the effort and appreciation you pour into the process of becoming.
