Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebby LeBlanc.
Ebby, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Eboni “Ebby” LeBlanc; I am an imperfect believer, wife, mother, and writer. I published my first book, a Coming-of-Age Fiction novel, when I was 17 and started my blog, Ebby’s Lane, a few years later. The content stemmed from struggles I faced as a single, Christian searching for my true purpose and identity. When I got married, my blog naturally evolved into marriage topics. I began to journal my battle with infertility and the miracle of adoption. A few years later, after years of infertility treatments, I became pregnant, and my life changed forever when I lost my daughter, Journey Faith, at three days old. I spent the next three years rediscovering who I was and who God was in my life. That is when my business pivoted to something even more beautiful. To honor my daughter, I would dedicate my life to empowering women to discover the beauty in life’s journey.
To date, I have written a Prayer and Dreams journal, several eBooks, and hold workshops on various topics empowering women to create a life from which they don’t need a vacation. I am currently working on my third book, a memoir, and planning our next workshop.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Having to deal with infertility and losing my daughter felt as if I was fighting for my life and figuring out where to pick up the pieces of everything. If it weren’t for my relationship with God, I would still be in a dark place.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a writer. I’ve written Fiction and Non-Fiction pieces. I am known for empowering women to find the beauty in life’s journey and turning their testimony into transformation. I am most proud of impacting women’s lives and fulfilling my dream of being published. What sets me apart from others is that writing my words has helped me heal, and reading my words has helped others heal.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
Honestly, I don’t believe in luck. We can create the life we desire both personally and professionally through prayer, creating a plan, and taking action.
