

Today we’d like to introduce you to the BBR Group
Hi BBR Group, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After several years of success as individual agents, we decided to join forces and create a team. We had the same core values, goals and worked in similar areas of Dallas. Emily and I were already working together and joined Kyle at Briggs. Britt migrated over from Modtown and we formed the BBR Group in 2018. We all have different strengths and help each other.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles with adapting to a new climate during quarantine. Our showings were virtual, as were our open houses. We were all nervous in March of 2020 what would happen to the real estate market, as we all work hard to support our families. We were thankful at the surge of homebuyers that happened in the Summer. The current market has been a roller coaster ride. Listings are almost a “suggested list price,” as we’ve seen offers go $100K over asking, with no inspections or option periods and even all-expense-paid vacations to the Sellers. Things are moving quickly and you have to be on alert for your clients more than ever.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We all have different backgrounds, which sets us each apart and also gives us the ability to help each other. With a background in construction, Kyle has the keen ability to spot well-framed perfection. He can also help you discover how to add on, open up and expand a space in ways that aren’t immediately apparent. With a wealth of resources, he can take the guesswork and headache out of simple updates or an extensive remodel.
After a decade in advertising, Catherine will not only market your home; she’ll create a customized campaign that will get it sold. Her creativity isn’t just for sellers either. As a buyer, she’ll help your offer rise to the top, something that’s critical in the current market. Britt offers an exceptional taste level that will make your house look so good you’ll second guess moving in the first place. And when you get settled in your new home, she’ll be by your side, helping you pick paint colors and finish outs that are as tasteful as they are timeless.
On any given day, Emily has one or more DIY projects in the works. She has real-world experience to help you see the potential in a property. As for sellers, when it comes to what works vs. what’s not worth it to get your home list ready, she’ll help you navigate that too. With a background in new construction home sales and property management, she has a well-rounded view of the industry.
We’ve stuck to our roots. We aren’t pretentious. We want our clients to see us as friends – we’re relatable. We’re all parents so we’re helpful to our clients that have young families. Our clients become clients for life – they text us to as for our thoughts on their new paint colors or if we know an electrician.
How do you think about luck?
We feel grateful and lucky to be working in a great city and a great market. We thank our lucky stars every day for that. But in terms of our success has nothing to do with luck. We all work really hard. Our work ethic has gotten us to where we are.
