Hi Janee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started working in the finance industry in 2018. I hosted financial session in the Oklahoma city area. I started financial healing for women LLC. As a means to help women avoid the same mistake as I made in my finances.
During one of my most stressful financial seasons I was at rock bottom $0 in my bank account with 10k accumulated in credit card debt. I was extremely ashamed, frustrated and embarrassed but one word from God and a lot of action behind it helped pay off all of the debt in less than two years. Coming out of that struggle was the most empowering things I have ever experienced.
Now, I make it my responsibility to help those like me get out of that pit of despair and get moving in a better direction by giving them tools, training, courses, and encouragement along their journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. The finance industry is one that can be challenging to navigate. Finding your niche and what people you are called to serve.
One challenging moment was when COVID hit. I had 6 financial sessions scheduled through that year and after the pandemic and limiting face to face interaction I was forced to pivot to an online platform.
Now, it has changed the way I do business and opened up a platform for me to serve clients all over the U.S.
We’ve been impressed with Financial Healing For Women LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Financial Healing For Women is the name of my brand. My overall focus is to see women healed financial so they can live the abundant life God says they can have and see that healing spill over into other areas of their life.
I am a personal finance coach and I focus on helping women heal their mindset, heartset, build long lasting healthy financial behaviors, and smash their goals one step at a time. I am literally taking them through a journey and when they leave me they are NEVER the same. The think different, they move different, they are changed from the inside out.
Some of the topics that I teach and coach on are budgeting, debt pay off, short and long term saving, credit building, mindset, spending habits. One of my most popular course is called the “Mastering Your Budget Course” – Where I show my audience how to budget like a boss in 90 days!
I am most proud of is the community I have built. On Facebook I have a community called Financial Healing #sisterhood. I have built a community of supportive, loving and motivated women who are motivated to get their lives moving in the right direction. The inspire each other, have paid off thousands of dollars in debt, budgeting like some bosses and building the lives they believe they can have.
I am building an academy that will be launching this year that will host a conglomerate of trainings and courses that teach them what to do to get their whole entire financial lives together and do it in a community of other women who are doing the same thing.
What sets me apart is my dual focus on biblical principle and financial technique. I believe too many people are afraid to be vocal about the principles of GOD and how the directly correlates with money. I am not. I am bold about it because I believe when faith and finance mix, you can get in alignment with God and see your life and finances transformed. I have lived it myself. And that’s that!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I have learned that when the world is in crisis your finances don’t have to be. My clients have shown that they thrive in a pandemic instead of fail in it, simply because they didn’t wait for crisis to get moving in the right direction.
