Exploring Life & Business with Khaylon Randall of Mahina Skincare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khaylon Randall.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Honestly, it started when I went on a hunt for body/skincare that didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. After trial and error and tons of money, I decided to research different blends and herbs to remedy my skin issues. Others inquired about the blends and I decided to expand to make it accessible for everyone.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely not! BUT, it is beauty in the struggle. Trying to balance a rapidly growing business and teaching school is hard in itself but it has prepared me for greater opportunities. I walked blind into the world of business and had to get used to not getting sales everyday, every week and not letting that define me as a person or a business. That was the hardest part to me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Mahina skincare is a new skincare brand that wants to educate and help you on the journey of loving your skin. We highlight many organic and vegan ingredients and believe it is our responsibility to provide chemical free skincare. Although I am mostly digital, I embrace the interactions I have with all who I encounter on this journey and it has helped the brand with maintaining a genuine connection with its community, That is what I love most. I am proud of the testimonies, reviews, feedback that I have received in such a short amount of time. It is the beauty in the struggle.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The quality I find to be most important in this journey is joy. Being happy and eager to keep making your product and knowing it is making an impact speak volumes in regards to success. It is no longer a job or “side hustle”, it is apart of me.
