Exploring Life & Business with Noel Boggs of Noel Boggs Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noel Boggs.

Hi Noel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Houston, Tx in the summer of 2008 where I taught Choir for 6 years before becoming an Assistant Principal at a Title I high school outside of Houston. I served 4 years in that position. As I was there, I ended up taking on some of my students as my own – 1 teenager turned into 3 in a very short amount of time. After several years, I found myself divorced. I moved up to the Fort Worth area in 2019 to start fresh with my kiddos. I started back in education to help align my schedule with my kids to simplify things as a new single mom. To supplement my income, I decided to start taking my real estate classes. It took me a little less than a year to finish my classes while working full time and settling into my single mom role. That first year was simply ugly, and to be completely honest, we are still rebuilding almost 3 years later. I started my Real Estate Business in August of 2020 during the pandemic while working full-time in education still. Within 4 months, I was a top agent in my office, performing in the top 20%! It was a welcomed accomplishment after experiencing so many failures the previous year. I was a dual career agent through June of 2021.

During that time, I managed to pay off over $50,000 in debt leftover from my marriage and some school expenses. Being nearly debt-free allowed me to take more risk than I would’ve been able to do in the previous year.

At that point, I decided to give up the security of a salary to focus on building my own business. Within only a couple of months, I was growing my business almost more than I could keep up with. In October, along with 3 of the most brilliant agents in the business, I started a coaching class called Agents Elevating Agents within the market center to help grow new agents to success. A few months later I was offered a position as the new Productivity Coach in the Keller Williams Fort Worth Market Center. Now, as I grow my business, I am also coaching other agents toward achieving their business goals as well.

While the past few years have been difficult, I have continued to focus on improving myself. Nobody is perfect. None of us have “arrived” and have no more need for growth. Everyone has a story. Everyone goes through difficult times. We all have the choice to let our circumstances define us or develop us. I am grateful for the experiences I have had over the past 3 years. They have been humbling and have taught me a lot about myself and life in general.

If you have ever thought about starting a business, but feel like you don’t have it together enough to get started, just jump in. You will fail. But with the right attitude, you will fail forward.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not. Balancing time between my business and my kids has been the biggest struggle. Mom guilt is real. Being the only one supporting the family, I am constantly being pulled to do more with my business. Appointments on top of appointments force me to lean on my kids to help run the house more than I would like. I don’t get to be the “Mom-of-the-Year” like I always dreamed of being. It’s a tough pill to swallow when you lay your head down at night and realize you didn’t get more than 1 hour with your kids that day. But then it makes me smile when I am able to be at school events, I wasn’t normally able to participate in as a teacher.

We’ve been impressed with Noel Boggs Real Estate, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Noel Boggs Real Estate is passionate about serving families-not only in Real Estate but as a whole. I am passionate about giving families outlets to connect. I host a free family or couple event every month for families to spend time together. I am sponsored by several business partners that believe in my mission. In the coming months, I will be having scavenger hunts, date nights, and more! I believe in coaching my clients through their real estate purchases, and believe in ensuring each purchase is a wise financial investment. I believe my job is to protect your funds as you navigate the process of buying and selling a home. It is a multi-faceted process that requires attention to detail. By protecting your investments, I believe I am also protecting your family. I get the most joy out of telling the stories of my clients. We have all come from somewhere, and we have all had to fight to get where we are. Sharing the successes and what my clients have had to overcome inspires me, and I hope it inspires others too!

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I love making magic happen! For example, this year, I posted on social media that I was writing Santa Letters for my kids and asked if anyone wanted me to write a personalized letter for their kiddos. I got over 100 response! To make the magic happen, my daughter and I wrote over 200 Santa letters and HAND DELIVERED them WITH Santa all over the Metroplex! From Arlington to Weatherford, we made magic happen for families. The best part? It was even more magical for US to watch the kids’ faces light up, mothers and fathers shed tears of joy, and bring smiles to people all over the city!
