Exploring Life & Business with Shirkydra Roberts of I.A.M.E. (Impact, Aspire, Motivate Enterprises)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shirkydra Roberts.

Hi Shirkydra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started I.A.M.E. (Impact, Aspire, Motivate Enterprise) in 2018 after voicing my childhood story of being molested. I fought depression, abandonment issues, insecurity challenges, and had suicidal thoughts at a young age. When I started speaking about my story and encouraging others to fight through their pain to get to their purpose, I saw myself becoming and not just existing. After being asked to speak at women’s, cultural, and many Navy events, I decided to create a platform that allowed me to be a voice for myself and those that are still fighting to find their own voice. The I.A.M.E platform allows me to be a Motivational Speaker, Life Transformation Coach, and Advocate.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been easy. I did not grow up learning about finances, business, or the knowledge needed to do it all right. I had setbacks but I was too devoted to God and my purpose to let those setbacks keep me back. I took time to learn and implement the tools needed to get me back on track. Outside of the business, telling my story over and over showed me places that I needed to address and heal. I had to practice what I was preaching. I was speaking and healing at the same time which allowed my audience and clients to go through with me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
When I established I.A.M.E, I wanted to go into this knowing that it would not just represent me as a speaker and coach. I have been able to branch out into teaching courses, podcasting, and much more. I.A.M.E. is about loving, accepting, and being free in all of me as I AM ME. I wanted to signify freedom and create a path for others to make an impact with their story while Aspiring to be a better version of themselves in order to Motivate others to do the same thing. As a speaker, I do not just want to motivate and encourage my audience within the moment, I want to impact lifestyles and change the schema behind generational trauma. We ALL have a voice. We ALL have a purpose. We ALL have a story to tell. We ALL have a side that is buried under trauma and waiting to be released in order to heal and be used.

I built my Coaching program in order to be the accountability, writing, or lifestyle Coach that my clients look for when they are ready to take that leap into becoming their voice. I have published two books of my own and coached multiple Authors with getting their books on the shelves for their audience. I have spoken at many women empowerment, military, historical, and motivational events. I have hosted over a dozen of my own events that allow the audience to be free in a safe place. I am not just a Motivational Speaker and Life Transformation Coach, my clients get what they need from me in order to make the necessary changes and progress so that they can move in purpose. I take them beyond healing. There is always the question, “What’s Next?”. We never get set in just overcoming!

Although I specialize in trauma transformation and turning pain into purpose, I love walking into the room and filling in the gap. I love serving my community and those that are looking for hope to get to tomorrow.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am also active duty Military as an Engineering Officer with 13 years of service. Balancing my purpose and my career can be challenging but my Faith in God is what keeps me balanced.
