Gargi Productions’ founder Gargi Duggal, who has a knack for creativity, decided to launch this media house to share her skills and love for art. Apart from this, she is the face of the South Asian women in digital content-focused media, thanks to her contagious spontaneity and unyielding drive. This versatile artist was certain to gain a solid reputation among anyone who even harbored the slightest self-doubt when she decided to follow her passion. Owing to the same goal today, her media company’s primary objective is to keep everyone entertained by offering unique and exciting content on digital platforms. They have produced several types of digital content, such as music videos, talk shows, and short movies. The label enjoys entertaining loyal and sincere audiences. Gargi Duggal is the one and only South Asian woman to single-handedly launch a media company in the nation. Meaning, she’s the first one to do it!
Gargi Duggal was awarded the “Woman of Substance” award in 2019 and “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2022 for her achievements in many dimensions of life.
This production house has released quite a few Bollywood songs which has created a stir among the masses, especially in the USA making a mark and spreading Bollywood influence. Gargi Duggal believes in showcasing different locales, cinematography, and direction skills with the productions released so far. Every song or talk show that has been broadcasted on Gargi Productions channel has a different flavor and vibe. She has collaborated with local talents as well as expanded her horizon to work with people from different countries to bring in variety of skill sets.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Gargi Duggal, the proprietor of Gargi Productions and a producer, director, and actor, is well-known in the USA for her unique media work and her enthusiasm for managing Gargi Productions’ YouTube channel. However, she has encountered many challenges throughout the years. In April 2022, she ventured to India to film for Gargi Productions. It was difficult adapting to the new work environment, types of workers, and hectic schedule. Though it is her home country, she has not formally worked there in a long time. Similarly, she had to shoot in Cancun for a music video in the midst of a rainy storm. If there is a will, there is a way, and that is why she pushed through and went head-to-head with the problems.
The virtuoso has also received a congratulatory letter from Guinness World of Records for climbing the 12,400 feet Parvati Valley of the Himalaya Ranges at the tender age of five. Her father motivated her to make the grueling trek. But as they say, life is unexpected, and one should be ready to combat all the battles that come along the way. Amidst Gargi’s rise, there was an unfortunate tragedy. At the age of 14 years, she experienced the first of several lifelong battles with medical issues as she experienced a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right leg. Sadly, she faced a lot of issues in the diagnosis of her injury due to insufficient medical facilities in her small town. Regardless, Gargi carried out her lifelong mantra and rebounded from injury via persistence. In Fact, she won the Miss Gujarat-Miss Talent title in 1997.
Gargi moved to the US in pursuit of a better life twenty years ago. Despite being a wife, a mother of two, and an IT Professional, she kept mastering her dancing skills. One does not have any option than rather to accept what life throws at them. The unfortunate tragedy struck again. On her vacation, she dislocated her right leg once again. Fortunately, this time she finally had all the medical tools at her disposal to diagnose the issue altogether. She fought back against all the odds and started full-fledged dancing Her hard work, grit, and determination earned her the Best Dancer award at Dance USA Dance competition and International Indian Icon Dance competition in 2018.
Gargi’s success mantra is “Miles to go before I sleep, no matter how many hardships and hurdles I have to cross!’
