Hidden Gems: Meet Nick and Cindy Solis of Hello Hydration

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick and Cindy Solis.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello Hydration is a “big-time” small business started by us, Nick & Cindy Solis, a husband and wife duo in “Big D.” We’re both native Texans that have a lot in common. We are Latinos, born and raised in border towns, ICU nurses by trade, sales & marketing pros by experience, and former “Corporate Big-Wigs.” Our life skills have taught us that preventative medicine is the key to health and wellness. We both definitely live the “work-hard-play-hard” philosophy; just ask anyone who knows us. We also believe that just because you work hard and play hard, it doesn’t mean you have to “hangover hard,” “recover hard” from a workout, or even “age hard.”

Hello Hydration started out one weekend when our friend—the inspiration for this business—came to Dallas for a trade show. We tagged along to support him and ended up falling in love with the concept. After trying the IV hydration and FastVitamin IV Push products, we became instant believers. We felt a renewed sense of energy and were ready to hit the day strong and do it all over again! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, given that Nick was looking for additional ways to manage a recent life-changing diagnosis. We owe it to our friends at Smooth Aesthetics Austin for lighting the fire that is now Hello Hydration. Our “concierge-style” platform allows us the opportunity to work with clients in the comfort of their own homes or offices, and the best part is we get to meet some really great people along the way!

Where we are today is exactly where we started… we just happen to have more clients. We have had laser focus on a few key things from the start: 1. Excellent Products 2. Excellent Service 3. Honesty & Reliability. We started out with a few clients a week and have grown to being DFW’s first (and to this date only) Better Business Bureau accredited IV hydration company. We wear the BBB accreditation with pride as it is a symbol of the commitment we have to excellent service and trustworthiness. We have partnered up with other healthcare professionals in the metroplex that are equally dedicated to health and wellness. We are where we are today because we have loyal clients that have decided to take charge of their health destinies. We continuously stay on top of the latest trends in the wellness space so we can offer our clients the best products available. We also firmly believe that it’s not just about sharing products, it’s also about increasing awareness. As nurses, Nick and I understand that health is a journey… it’s about what you do AND what you know. We work hard to spread the word on important health information. It’s why we cite credible sources in our blogs and ensure that our protocols are backed by physicians.

We’re also not afraid to try things on ourselves! It’s important to us to be able to speak to our experiences with each of our products and ensure they work. The heart of our mission is to do some good in this world and help people feel good about themselves. It also doesn’t hurt that Nick has some top-notch IV skills… but you don’t have to just take our word for it, you can check out our reviews to hear what other people are saying. We think it’s worth mentioning that all of our reviews to date are five stars! YAY US!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We would love to say it’s been all rainbows and sunshine from the get-go, but just like mom says, honesty is a good policy. We have definitely had our fair share of bumps in the road. Some big ones were due to COVID-19 when in the best interest of protecting the health and safety of our clients, we decided to shut down for a few months. We ultimately weathered the storm and are surviving the pandemic. We were happy to know that many of our loyal clients were ready and waiting to resume their treatments and we have done so with added precautions to keep everyone safe.

Along the way, we changed our company name, which was honestly easier said than done, but two years into this business, we finally feel like we are catching our stride. The lessons Nick and I have learned along the way have been humbling for sure, but we are ultimately grateful for the stumbles because they have reinforced our convictions. The challenges we’ve faced have forced us to double down on our efforts to ensure a clear mission and exceed our client’s expectations. We believe that if you give the world good stuff, then you get good stuff in return, and we can all use some good vibes!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Well first and foremost, you should know that we are a team of highly skilled nurses that are dedicated to health and wellness. We are super proud of our designation as a Better Business Bureau Accredited company. We love that people can quickly identify us as a reputable and trustworthy company committed to excellence because we are backed by the BBB. We specialize in IV hydration and offer various products to support hydration, workout recovery, anti-aging and more.

Our customer service is what sets us apart from others. One of my favorite quotes is from Maya Angelou, where she says that “people may forget what you said, and they may forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel”. Nick and I work very hard to bring that to life every day by ensuring our service and products are top notch. That means our methods are backed by science, our vendors are carefully selected, and our protocols have been well established by quality physicians. We also make the experience as convenient and comfortable as possible. That means we travel to you to deliver your treatment in your home, office or other convenient location! We hold ourselves to a high standard because we understand that we are being invited into people’s homes and offering a service that many people may be a little nervous about. We’re always happy to explain our services and answer any questions. We like to put people at ease and leave them feeling better about their health.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Strong family connections are a big part of our world because I come from a very large family—and when I say big, I mean like Texas-sized big—I am one of over 30 cousins, and we’re all pretty close! This company has given us the opportunity to connect with a lot of really amazing people, and many of our clients have become our extended family. One of the best things about family, is having people in your corner that care about you and that you can trust. Lou Holtz is famous for his three rules of life where he asks these three questions: 1. Can I trust you? 2. Do you care about me? 3. Are you committed to excellence? Our success is based on the fact that the people Nick & I encounter along the way answer with a resounding yes to all those questions when they think of Hello Hydration!
