Hidden Gems: Meet Rachael Yvonne Davis of Sativa Beauty Health Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachael Yvonne Davis.

Hi Rachael, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am counting down the days to be reintroduced formally to society as Dr. Rachael Yvonne Davis. I have completed my research and dissertation, which focuses on Sustainability and Plus-Size consumers in the Fashion Industry. I have worked to earn a Doctorate of Business Administration with a concentration in Global Operations and Supply Chain Management.

I am a product developer, model, DJ, entrepreneur, international speaker, and author. I am also the reigning Miss Plus World Humanitarian Ambassador 2022.

If I let others describe who I am and what I do, I am that go-to person that people call when they need to get “it” done, and frequently they don’t know what “it” is, and it is difficult for them to explain. I’ve been told things are just better when I and or my team are around. For the sake of clarity, I am a Fractional Executive. I help organizations become more productive and profitable through strategy, innovation, and infrastructure. The name of my company is United Global Enterprises, LLC, and most of my opportunities have come via personal referrals. I only work with 4-8 clients at a time. In a few weeks, I will be offering a few qualified business owners the opportunity to work with my team and me to generate more income in their businesses. Those interested can shoot me an email to get on the waitlist.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My father and I survived a car accident in 2007 (the day after Thanksgiving); however, our road to recovery wasn’t as easy as it sounds or looks. I broke my neck, back, shoulders, and ribs; my left arm was skinned raw. I was care flighted to one hospital and then transported to another where I could be cared for by specialists. I was in the hospital for over a month before being transported home by ambulance. I was supposed to go to inpatient rehabilitation, but there were errors in my paperwork, and I was transported back to Fort Worth via Ambulance and left on my mother’s couch. My family and I took our faith and what I learned in school as a kinesiology student at Texas Christian University and started my own therapy at home. When helping me stand and practice walking, my Daddy would say, “… it is just like dancing.” Aside from pain at times, I struggled with not being able to sleep, PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression – Even after my bones and scars healed. My family and parents prayed and fought to get me medical attention. Today, you would never know I was crushed in a vehicle and did not have the mobility of my left arm and that there is a screw placed in my neck (and a metal plate and screws in my right ankle).

Our Daddy died not even 3 days after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine on Valentine’s Day 2021. I feel like he took all of Texas’s light and warmth with him as he transitioned during the Texas Ice Storm. My sister agrees when I say surprisingly, our hearts kept beating after they told us Daddy’s stopped.

The events that followed… well, it’s a lot – like, something you wound binge watch in a Netflix series.

However, today as a family, we are still here – still striving to reach our fullest potential and help others to do the same. I have dedicated my reign this year as Miss Plus World Humanitarian Ambassador and overall pageant experience to my Daddy, Lynn Dell “JC” Davis, January 1, 1956 – February 14, 2021, who inspired my sister and me to have faith in God, learn, explore and leverage technology. My platform is Advancing Sustainability through Fashion, Education, and Cybersecurity.

I beat the statistics and the odds and have survived my accidents and grief. I have also learned that my approach to adversity, doubt, and negativity is the start of mastering leadership and impactful influence.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have professionally developed and manufactured products inspired by my parents and my own health challenges. Our brand is cited as the first African American/Woman-owned medical-grade CBD brand and product line created in Texas. You can learn more about us at www.Sativa-Wellness.com. Our goal is to have our products placed inside pharmacies, specialty stores, gyms, and beauty and wellness centers this year.

What makes you happy?
I am a professional DJ and have played for Estee Lauder and Kopari beauty brands. I have played at the House of Blues for RAW: Natural Born Artist, at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel, and recently at the Collab Festival. This summer, I am looking forward to playing for the All-World Beauties National Pageant. With things opening back up, I am looking forward to working in person more with conferences, festivals, and major corporations; and if all goes according to plan also DJing, speaking, and collaborating Internationally.

In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, game nights with close friends, and spending time with my boys, a Pitbull named Mon-Tey Yayha Davis and a miniature schnauzer named Dr. Phillip Jacob Davis, aka Dr. Phil. They earn their keep too lol …they have a dog-treat line called Mon-Tey’s Munchies that can be explored and purchased at www.Sativa-Wellness.com.
