Inspiring Conversations with Jason Waite of Jason Waite Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Waite.

Hi Jason, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Nearly 12 years ago I left a career in public education to start my full-time photography business. Since then, I’ve photographed professional sports, touring music artists from many genres, companies of all sizes, and a U.S. President.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s almost always a struggle to be new at anything. There was a period of trying to do everything and it was exhausting. It’s been a process to figure out my fit. Once I began to say “No” to jobs that didn’t fit me anymore then the path began to open up.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I work with businesses, brands, and organizations to create images that help share their heart and purpose…

That might look like portraits or headshots so that prospective clients or fans can put a face to your business or brand. Or storytelling images for your organization’s website to help visitors visualize your purpose.

I photograph a lot of events highlighting purpose and team involvement.

I also work with a fantastic team to provide brand videos and video SEO.

Needless to say, I get to work with some of the best people on the planet!

Any big plans?
I’ve really made some big shifts and pivots along the way. Especially over the last two years. I’ve dropped some things and added some things.

My mindset and focus right now is to find a match for those who reach out. It may not be me. But if we do work together, I’ll do my best to help drive you forward. Whatever we decide that looks like!
