Inspiring Conversations with Victor Manta of Manta Construction Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Manta.

Hi Victor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Born and raised in Brazil, moved to the states when I was 9 years old. Parents worked hard to give us a better life. Went to school to be a doctor, but still have one class to finish, and never finished it. Growing up I started working at a young age, when I graduated high school I became a pharmacy technician.

Worked at a pharmacy, helped my dad with his business, and went to school full-time.

Did that for about 6 years, then started my own business. We have grown tremendously, recently being part of season 1 of an HGTV show, and when season 2 came about we were called to be the only contractor for the entire season. Recently got a call that we are going to be shooting season 3 soon.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth. From bad clients that did not pay to employee issues like every small business goes through. We managed to stay afloat through hard times, and God has blessed us and opened many doors for us to be where we are today.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We have grown steadily every year. We do large multi-family projects but lately, we have been focusing on our house remodel / restoration division. Most recently we have been awarded as the only contractor on an HGTV show called no demo Reno. Will be starting season 3 soon!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The list of mentors and supporters is massive. Probably at the top of my list is my dad. Showed me a lot of times what to do, and a lot of other times showing me what not to do.
