Life and Work with Laura Fedock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Fedock.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Laura. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in Kingwood, TX. There was a boutique I used to go to all the time with my mom called Apple Tree Kids. When I was three years old, we decided that it was best for me to make all my own fashion decisions, as my mom was no longer allowed to shop for me – ha! Honestly, I fell in love with clothes and styling from the very beginning. If only my mom had known then that I would be working in the fashion industry, it would have made it easier to accept that her three-year-old had a strong opinion on what she would and wouldn’t wear. Very strong opinion at that..!

Instilled with a love for all things fashion from an early age, I decided to focus on developing the proper skillsets through my education. Upon graduating from Texas Tech University with Broadcast Journalism and Advertising degrees, I immersed myself in the business world in marketing and retail. After several years in the corporate world, I was able to carve out a career path and go out on my own – something I ultimately dreamed about doing from the very beginning.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
One of my favorite sayings is, “You can do anything, but you can’t do everything.” New ideas seem to constantly come my way, and my mind is always in go-mode. The biggest challenge I tend to encounter is taking the time to execute these ever-evolving projects. I always have new endeavors in the works, so it’s crucial to surround myself with the right dream team. After all, I’m a dreamer and a doer. For instance, I’m starting to focus on my upcoming fashion collaborations. I will make this happen with the right brands/designers, and it will be fabulous. After all, I am very enthusiastic and inspired to keep evolving. If I say I am going to do something, I will. And this is a good problem to have because I’m never complacent.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Life+Style by Laura – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
My goal is to help my clients discover their best self – to help steer him/her in the direction towards achieving true confidence. Our personal style is a direct reflection of how we are feeling. How do you want the world to see you? You are your brand. And it’s not entirely superficial. How you dress… how you present yourself to the world – that’s how people see you. If I can strategically help people dress accordingly and find what makes them feel happy and confident, then I have truly succeeded.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
I’m in the business of making things as seamless as possible for people. I want my clients to reach their ultimate confidence level… this has always been a dream of mine. Every day, I strive to help people find their true happiness.

I can totally see Laura dressing herself at 3 years old. She has always had this incredible passion. I love the last quote in the article; “Every day I strive to help people find their true happiness.” This truly reflects the beautiful person that Laura is.
