Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana Devecki.
Tatiana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started when I was working in a hair salon waxing brows, there was something about brows that I loved. Then, I had my babies and decided to stay home for some time to enjoy motherhood. One day, my mom encouraged me to take a microblading course so I did. I didn’t know much about the industry but I was intrigued. Ever since then, I’ve been obsessing about everything brows. I am fully determined to succeed and be the best artist I can be and give women confidence and embrace their beauty. I’m opening my own studio and it’s been a dream come true. I added my sister which is an amazing makeup artist and both got our esthetician’s license to be able to provide our clients with full service when it comes to their beauty needs. Dallas Brows and Skin Studio has opened their doors and we are excited to start our journey.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In this industry, you have to be very determined and very careful. It’s not only about making an income. It takes a lot of skill to be able to give beautiful permanent brows to women. One little mistake can be huge and not an easy fix. My advice would be to always practice in synthetic skin first as much as you can. Never stop learning, a humble attitude can help you a lot, it opens your mind to know there’s always more to learn. It will get you far.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a Microblading Artist and an Esthetician. I own Dallas Brows and Skin Studio. We offer a wide amount of services from Microblading and shading, lash enhancements, facials, and makeup and lashes. I specialize in Microblading, it’s my passion. There’s something amazingly rewarding in being able to give women beautiful brows and make them feel confident about their look. I really take the time in understanding what it is that she wants from her brows and recreating that in their face it’s a challenge I like to take on every day. I think that’s why I get recommended by my clients and stay busy. Each brow it’s deferent and each session is tailored to the client’s needs.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Immigrating to the US from Argentina at the age of 13 played a huge role in the adult I am today. It was definitely hard to adjust and learn a new language. I appreciate what I have today because I saw my parents work endless hours growing up to provide for us and I know it wasn’t easy. I saw their determination day by day with their business and learned a lot from them. They set up a really good example for me and my sisters that if you put the time little by little, starting small, you can slowly get there. My dad always told me that when it comes to business, it’s always good to start slowly and small and that will make for future strong business and that I needed the patience to strive. So, I did and it paid off. I would like to add a big thank you to my sweet husband and my family for being the best support and believing in me always. If it wasn’t because each one of them believed in me I wouldn’t have been able to pull through and they did, so did I!
