Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Marshall.
Ashley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I purchased a homemade candle from an expo and wasn’t satisfied with my purchase. Being a lover of candles, it was then that I made the bold decision to make the ideal candle that I and so many other candle lovers desired. After many failed attempts, I finally have the perfect formula.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been far from smooth. Starting out, I didn’t know much about advertising, getting my product out there, etc. For the life of me, I didn’t understand why no one was purchasing my product. It took a lot of knowledge seeking to understand the depths of advertisement. I also sought help from individuals who knew more about specific areas of the business. As my knowledge grew so made my sales.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am the Owner and Creator of BellaPearl-A Candle Company. At BellaPearl-A, we make and sell scented handmade candles and wax melts. We have over 60 plus scents now of customer favorites. I am most proud of the actual candle. To know that each candle I sell will deliver a strong lingering aroma to any size space is amazing to me and gives me goosebumps when others experience it as well. Also, the scents that I created and can only be found with BellaPearl-A makes me proud. There are tons of awesome candle companies out there, and I try to support as many as I can. I do what I love, and I let it show. The passion that I put into creating my product is what makes it so special to my customers and me.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on this journey is NEVER giving up, remain patient, and continue to outdo yourself only.
