Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Castanon.
Hi Luis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
From a very young age I dreamed of being a famous person, it was a dream that I saw as unattainable, when I was 19 years old everything changed, a lady approached me and asked me if I was interested in modeling, it was a surprise for me, because I did not consider myself suitable for This industry, talking to her, invited me to her agency and there everything changed, I won a modeling contest (intermodel star slp 2014) and participated in different catwalks, thanks to this opportunity I was also able to work on television, I fulfilled my dreams and enjoy, I worked for a morning television program called tu casa al dia, later I worked on another magazine program called project x, and after a few years of earning a place on television I had my own program called did you know that, seeing that the people accepted me very well on their televisions I decided to open my networks and create my content, that’s how I made a comedy series called “The idiotic secrets of a love” and I broadcast it on Facebook, it was It was a complete success, I am currently retiring, I felt I had to go out and explore the world, I had a moment of existential crisis and my work was no longer making me happy, besides the country where I was born began to be dangerous for me and in some way I had to leave, that’s how I got to the USA.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It was difficult because of all the stereotypes that society has, I did not have the height that was requested in many places, some of my mentors were very harsh with their words, there were times when I just came out crying or I felt frustrated for not being within the castings, at times I got discouraged but even with all the obstacles it kept giving me encouragement.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I became known on social networks for my videos on TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, seeing how competitive the entertainment industry was, I decided to become a content creator and that is how I began to gain followers
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
My vision is to be able to be a creator of content that is suitable for the entire market, to be able to reach more people, create videos that not only entertain but also teach, the internet is the future and whoever is not on the network does not exist in this century
