Life & Work with Ronnie Mahoney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronnie Mahoney.

Hi Ronnie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Ronnie Mahoney; I’m the owner of RAM Vision Media, I’m a content creator and YouTube Channel builder, and contributor, and my business Ram Vision Media is a full-service video production company. We cover an array of services, such as music videos, photos, and presentations, but we specialize in real estate walkthroughs and social media ads.

I AM: (above all else) A CREATOR

Singer/songwriter (performed on NBC, BET, and Comcast for a nationally televised fundraiser; fortunate enough to perform with the likes of Jon B, Mike McCary of Boyz II Men, and Deborah Cox, my former R&B group 120 received a Key to the City in 2021.)

I am a Monetized YouTube content creator, channel builder, contributor – I do focus on organic channel growth, which is slower, BUT I know it’s all MINE (I’m not against buying followers, but I personally favor the organic growth). I am a skilled – and continuously learning and growing – high-quality videographer.

I started in video because I was a struggling singer/songwriter, and I needed a music video.

They say necessity is the mother of invention, right? –

Every video I create, I learn and grow from the experience; I’ve done everything from music videos, sweet 16 parties, to memorials, to live performances, even a wedding,

Over time, the name has evolved, and my skills evolved as well.

I went from shooting some local music videos to presentations to video resumes to even a funeral!!

Needless to say, that was a one-and-done! lol, I’ve even done some social media ads slash commercials, documentaries, and talking head interviews.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think the biggest struggle for my business has been not only the funding to get started but having that direction to know how to handle my business. I can recall many days that I just felt lost and not knowing how to get clients or what equipment to buy etc. I have since found mentors and an abundance of videos to help lead me in the right direction.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As I mentioned earlier, I am a continuously learning and growing videographer. I love to learn about my craft and become a little bit more knowledgable today than I was the day before. Recently, I have felt challenged when learning about all the vast types of camera lenses out there, what each does and what kind to buy. I do understand though that this is part of the process. I take pride in becoming an expert at what I do.

What sets us apart from other video companies is that we are quickly becoming subject matter experts in the field of real estate and social media ads. We don’t try to cover everything in regards to video. No one can specialize in everything, so we focus in one area and be the best at that.

A fun fact is that I am a comic book nerd. I do love to draw occasionally. I read comics all through young adulthood and used to draw and create my own characters. I grew up watching cartoons and still do sometimes lol. I think that’s a major part of the reason I went to school for graphic design later in life and was blessed to graduate with a bachelor’s degree.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
I remember the simplicity of just being a child playing with my toys and watching Saturday morning cartoons! I miss the discovery and wonder of being a kid, like riding my bike and getting your first kiss. I also loved the mystery and excitement of Christmas when I was young. Those were the good ole days! lol
