Meet Alla Bardov

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alla Bardov.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Alla. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I immigrated from Ukraine when I was 15 years old. Being a teenager in a new country without speaking the language presented many challenges, the biggest being the ability to connect with people. In high school, I worked multiple part-time jobs, and it was during that time that I discovered that through sales, I was able to connect with people regardless of my language skills. And that is when I realized my love of sales.

In college, I came across Door to Door Sales. This new opportunity, selling vacuum cleaners door to door, didn’t come without challenges. It was through that trying process that I figured out my sales success system that I teach now. This system allowed me to become one of the top sales reps in the country and receive a college scholarship. 

Upon graduating, my career took off in a different direction spanning over 25 years in corporate accounting and finance. During that time, I realized that the skills that helped me succeed in the corporate world are the same skills that I developed in sales.

Over the past ten years, I launched my own retail business and then became an entrepreneur in the direct sales industry. Applying my sales system allowed me to consistently be one of the top sales reps for new customer acquisitions in a multibillion-dollar company.

Over two years ago, I launched Sell Yourself for Success to help sales professionals improve their sales results by using my proven system.

As life is about giving back, my passion for philanthropy is through my work with Nancy Lieberman Charities.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There’s no easy road to success and no growth without challenges. The biggest challenge was taking my system and turning it into a confidence-building and sales education program. Additionally, I wanted my curriculum to serve people with varying levels of experience and needs, from beginners to those who have been in sales for decades.

Sell Yourself For Success says it all. People don’t buy your ideas or products; people buy YOU! In every situation, the most critical step is your ability to sell yourself. I built my unique training program on the core fundamentals of teaching the importance of self-confidence and presence, and steps to gain it.

Leveraging my over 30-year proven system, I created a performance improvement and sales education platform. I help salespeople and entrepreneurs increase self-confidence, attract new and retain existing clients, and increase their sales productivity. I offer four intriguing, one of its kind Signature Talks. I also provide customized live and online interactive confidence-building and sales training solutions for individuals and groups, and I conduct public workshops. Along with speaking and training, I work one on one with clients to address specific needs for an individual or organization. All of my services deliver easy to implement strategies and tools for sustainable behavior change that ultimately help boost sales conversions.

I am most proud of the quality of the ‘no fluff’ content, the simplicity of the system, and my unique ability to inspire and connect with all audiences. Participants walk away with increased confidence, supercharged sales skills, and tools they can apply immediately to their day to day activities to generate more sales.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I believe there are different kinds of luck. For me, I’ve been lucky because of the support I received along my journey from key people who believed in me and encouraged me to go past the challenges and difficulties. I have also made my own luck. I work hard; I am determined and passionate about helping people succeed. I know that the harder I work and the more focused I stay on my business, the more luck will follow. As Thomas Jefferson said: “I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.”
