Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Baktis.
Allison, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The idea for Floralbomb Designs began purely for selfish reasons, honestly! I am a wife, busy mom of two young boys, working full time in the medical field, but I wanted something for myself, a hobby so to speak. There was one problem, though, I never considered myself arts and crafts savvy. I decided to roll up my sleeves, give it a go, and after many hot glue burns, here we are!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely not! It turns out. I can’t do everything on my own. I need help from my husband, who was also torn in multiple directions between his everyday job, military obligations, and our boys. He is the face behind the scenes, builds the walls, does all the heavy lifting, etc. We were starting to get into a groove and then Covid-19 hit. I mean, who wasn’t affected? The world seemed to slow down, but we were on overdrive trying to figure out our new normal of home school and working outside the home. All the weddings and graduation events we had planned through June were canceled. We took this time to brainstorm on what was next for Floralbomb.

Floralbomb Designs specializes in paper flower wall photo backdrops. We can completely customize flower colors to match your event, or you can choose one of our classic and elegant stock combinations. All are hand made which makes them extra special, in my opinion!
We love bringing our clients ideas to life and playing with color combinations! We are in the process of creating different color and size wall options as well as adding silk flowers and crepe paper flowers into our designs.

Obviously, my husband and boys for being so patient with me. If you want the honest truth, ask a five-year-old, there’s no holding back! I’m really thankful for the brave people who let me use their events as genuine pigs and get my name out there!
