Alyssia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a professional stylist for over fifteen years, I have had a passion for the hair and beauty industry for most of my adult life. Using hair as my canvas, I strive to bring a distinctive aesthetic and an innovative approach to draw out each client’s unique beauty. I had the amazing opportunity to study with some of the most respected professionals in the beauty industry, including Toni & Guy, where I also served as Salon Director of one of their flagship salons. Being able to blend innovation with classic designs has allowed me to work alongside some of the top beauty professionals at events such as New York Fashion Week as well as on set of numerous fashion photo shoots. Whether behind the chair at Shear Peace Salon, or styling the hair of runway models and making a fashion designer’s vision reality, I believe bringing out the inner beauty through the styling of hair is priceless!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Whether it was being the only person in my family to choose the hair industry instead of the medical industry, or becoming the youngest salon director at a world renowned hair salon, I’ve always felt like every obstacle was an opportunity to pursue my passion as well as being a mirror to reveal the inner beauty within each person and client I cross paths with. Therefore, although it may not have been the smoothest road, I would change anything about my journey, because it’s made me who I am today.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Shear Peace Hair Salon – what should we know?
We provide chemical services such as Keratin treatments, single process color, and highlights as well as cuts and styles and up styles that caters to each client’s unique style and personality. We specialize in Keratin Treatment (hair straightening), up styles, as well as cuts to the metroplex and abroad. Being that our best ability is flexibility when it comes to the overall style, each client can expect to experience a specialized combination of styling options that will perfectly transform your appearance as well as fit your personality and lifestyle demands is one of the things that sets us apart.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe my passion to live each moment intentionally by being creative while giving each client the gift of seeing their inner beauty revealed through the styling of hair.
