Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Cordova.
Amber, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I married my wonderful husband Andrew who’s also my web and tech guy 13 years ago and since then we’ve welcomed 4 sweet babies into our little family. Andrew and I decided in 2012 after baby number 2 that I would be a stay at home mom with the kids and homeschool them. With this leap of faith with our finances, I was almost instantly blessed with the tools and training in photography. The Teal Album blossomed in 2013 and we began to capture beautiful families, babies, seniors, couples and even weddings. We have been so thankful for each and every one of our sweet clients! We are deeply humbled by the opportunity to capture every special milestone for our clients.
Has it been a smooth road?
We’ve definitely had our slow seasons here and there as we’ve added baby number 3 than baby number 4. However, our little blessings have been such a joy and we are so thankful for each of them. Now things have picked up again, and I am always eager to get back to my clients and their lovely smiles!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Teal Album story. Tell us more about the business.
The Teal Album specializes in family, kids, babies, couples, seniors, maternity, special events and wedding photography. I love to capture each of those sweet memories for each client. From the storytelling of a romantic wedding day to being a part of the laughter between siblings during a family session, it’s all an honor to experience. I would probably have to say that family photography is my strong suit because I come from a large family and have 4 of my own. I strive to make each client feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The day I decided to start this hobby, I never dreamed I would eventually turn it into the business it is now. Every year we’ve been blessed to see it grow and grow a little more. I have big dreams for The Teal Album and I pray that I can continue to reveal to my clients how beautifully photogenic they are.
