Today we’d like to introduce you to Amelia Grant.
Amelia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Amelia Grant, and I am a Woman in Transport. I am the owner of “Miracle Ryders LLC” an NMET (Non-Medical Emergency Transport) business who provides luxury transport for the elderly and the disable. I am also a National provider as a Medicare vendor, so I am able to service those who are in need of transport to and from their destination with the provided coverage.
I originally established this business in 2022 as a way to help retire my mom and provide my family with a form of business I could pass down to generations after me. Being a medical provider myself I notice transportation was very much needed seeing that some patient were not able to attend certain appointments due to lack of support from family, unreliable transportation, and the fear of driving long distance. I sought to find a solution and with research, I came across the idea of starting an NMET business.
I seen it as my duty to honor the elders with an exquisite experience as they will soon transcend and become an ancestor. It also does my heart justice to be able to not only provide for the elders but to also be there for those in need such as injury patients who are not able to drive themselves to and from appointments, and also to take the stress off of family members who are unable to take off from work to get their love ones to the appointments.
I feel very confident in knowing that the year of 2023 my business will make a mark in Dallas and continue to grow where we will be able to assist others outside of state. I was once told that you truly have a successful business once you are able to give a service or skill that solves a problem that people have. Well, let me solve your medical transport need.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe that no road is absolutely smooth in business for it truly is a journey, but I can say that this road so far has been up and smooth for me. I am a person based on energy and I believe that any route you take that gives you the least resistance is the road worth taking. Now I am not blind and clueless to believe that I won’t run into any road bumps while we expand but I do have faith that I will weather any storm that comes my way. The paperwork and getting the business started has been the easiest part which I originally thought would be difficult, but the biggest challenge right now is finding reliable vans I would like to use.
As you know, we’re big fans of Miracle Ryders LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Miracle Ryders was created as a form of serving my elders and also taking away the hassle and struggle of family members getting their loved ones to and from medical and needed destinations. I set out to not only be of service to the elders and disable but I want to create them a lasting luxury experience, one that will highlight their day. This is what sets Miracle Ryders apart from most transportation companies because most just arrive and drop you off. Miracle Ryders is built on values and family. My mission is to meet the client at their house door to the car door; not only will they be transported to their destination, but we will walk the patient into the office and secure they are in good hands. A lot of the elders are alone and need support and love we will be the miracle for them.
Miracle Ryders does not just serve the elders but also the disable and children in need of transport. The destination does not just have to consist of the doctor’s office; it can range from pharmacy/grocery trips to an elder’s day out to the movies and etc. We are National Providers with Medicare, which most do not know that Medicare offers transportation needs for its members in need. If you are ever stuck and in need of a ride Miracle Ryders will be there to ease up the ride.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Mentorship is highly suggested for anything that you choose to do in life and business. You are entering into unknown lands and you can always find your way on your own, but why not receive assistance in becoming who you need to be to get there a lot faster.
We are in the days of technology so mentorship can come all ways; you can use sources as YouTube, social media groups, and many more. I highly suggest mentorship rather it be someone you know or knowledge from the web.
