Meet Ana Gallegos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Gallegos.

Ana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hi y’all, My name is Ana Gallegos I am a Fort Worth Photographer! I know it is super cliche to say I’ve taken photos for as long as I can remember, but I really have! I was ten years old when one of my aunts didn’t hire a photographer for her wedding. So I used a basic point and shoot Canon camera to take photos and record videos. I then put it all together and delivered it to her on a CD. I could go on about events such as this one. However, I never thought about actually making it a career.

My journey in photography began two years ago simply to learn how to take nice family photos.

I have been very fortunate to have an amazing mentor that has guided me through my journey. So a very big shout out to Adrean Indolos for teaching me the ins and outs of wedding photography.

I was eager to learn everything that had to do with capturing beautiful and timeless moments. I shadowed Adrean for a year learning the essentials of wedding photography and business management. I will forever be grateful for his guidance. Only a year in and I’ve started taking my own couples and capturing one wedding at a time. I must mention I never really knew if this was the path I was destined for but I had faith it would work out. I was so determined to be successful in photography that I dropped out of my junior year of college. This allowed me to devote more time to a newfound love and career as a photographer. 2019 has been my first year as a wedding photographer and it has been so rewarding! In the future, I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else.

Has it been a smooth road?
HECK No. I do not believe anything that is worth comes easy. I think balancing two careers that I love has been the biggest struggle. I have been in the restaurant industry for a solid ten years and absolutely love it. I manage Pho District on West 7th in Fort Worth. Running a business all while managing a restaurant can be challenging, but rewarding. The Downtime I do have at the restaurant I quickly make sure to use either to manage my photography social media or reply back to emails. I have a mentality where I feel if I have free time somehow it equals me not being efficient. I know its insane! That is just how I am wired. I always feel like I can do more and always will until I can’t strive further.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I specialize in weddings & couples. I love capturing love. My style is bright and airy. I believe in capturing timeless photos and delivering photos that essentially will live on through many generations.

I think one of the things that set me apart is befriending all my couples. I’ve learned over time that making people comfortable in front of the camera is the most important part of capturing them at their truest essence. I genuinely care about every love story as they are all special. This allows me to capture unique love stories.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
As a Fort Worth Native, I enjoy seeing the growth and expansion that is happening on a daily basis! I enjoy seeing new businesses succeeding. Fort Worth is such a photogenic city and because of that, there are many great locations to shoot at. I believe Fort Worth has some of the nicest hardworking citizens in the DFW metroplex. I have heard repeatedly from many of the customers that dine in at Pho District that Fort worth is the very meaning of southern hospitality. I hold this statement to be true.
