Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Butler.
Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
December 25, 2015, is a day I will never forget. We were opening gifts as a family and there was one more box under the tree with my name on it. I began to open it and saw it was a Canon camera kit! I was so full of joy that my family pitched in to purchase me such a meaningful gift, to help me with my future in being a photographer.
I began to practice with the camera but became very intimidated. I decided to enroll in a photography class and I also invested in a mentor’s workshop that has really accelerated my business. January 1, 2017, I decided to announce my business to the public, Bragging Beauty Photography was the initial name. January 1, 2020, I knew I wanted my brand to represent me more, so Andrea D. Photography was birthed.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success will never be “smooth”, there have been learning curves and challenges, but it has all been worth it. I have met so many great people, nurtured relationships, and found my own path in this industry. Photography used to be a dominant male industry, but today I am seeing more and more women boldly leading, which encourages me to keep going.

I specialize in portrait and senior photography. I also enjoy events and special occasions that need all the memorable moments captured.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Seeing the smiles on my client’s faces or reading there comments from their session truly makes me happy.
