Meet Andrea Kimble

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Kimble.

Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, I was first introduced to food and cooking by my grandmother, who, of course, was an excellent cook. I started off as her sous chef, helping with grocery shopping, prepping veggies, washing dishes and pretty much anything she needed to be done around the kitchen. We would spend hours watching cooking shows, cooking infomercials and sometimes recreating the recipes with our own twist. Holidays, or “The Big Show,” as I secretly called it was my favorite times.

My grandmother would put on a big feast and family would travel from near and far to make it. I would sit and watch their joyous reactions as they ate her food knowing all the hard work and love we put into it and that’s when the spark went off and I knew I wanted to create that same magical feeling whenever someone would eat my food. As I became older, my mom saw that spark and allowed me to take my new ideas and cook on my own with little to no supervision. I kept our concept going on learning new recipes, as well as taking her classic recipes and adding my own unique twist. I started to test the recipes out among family, friends and co-workers and after receiving much positive feedback, I took a leap of faith and decided it was time to share my gift with others and that’s how Kimble’s Kitchen was created. I wanted to cater to and provide a service for those who are sometimes too busy to shop and cook, help others save money eating tasty and filling meals and helping those wanting to invest in a healthier lifestyle. Being that we literally started on a Wednesday with just a small menu and now, five months later, business has been progressively improving, I couldn’t have asked for a better response. I am beyond blessed and very appreciative of the support that we have been receiving and am looking forward to what the future holds for us.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Kimble’s Kitchen, like any new business, has experienced some struggles along the way. Starting off, I had to understand that I needed to be more clear and concise about how to plan for and execute all of my ideas, by working smarter not harder. I realize now that timing is everything. By continuing to be consistent in providing great quality and service of food, we will be able to expand our brand opening the door of endless opportunities.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Kimble’s Kitchen – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Kimble’s Kitchen is a catering company that offers a variety of fresh, nutritious and tasty meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and my personal favorite, snacks. We specialize in customizing meals according to the client’s personal and dietary and preferences, in addition to the delicious menus we provided as a starting point. As a company, I am most proud of the integrity and quality of service we provide, as well as being able to help others take that first “step” to achieve their goals through food. By continuing to cater to a client’s needs and providing excellent service is what helps sets us apart from others. Our goal is to always leave a customer satisfied with a smile on their face and love in their belly.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and the least?
Moving to Texas was definitely a culture shock at first, but I can honestly say what I like best about the city is the diversity and the genuine southern hospitality that I have personally experienced. I have connected with some very genuine and supportive people. Besides the heat lol I can’t really say I have a dislike for the city, it has been very welcoming and has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone to create and explore endless opportunities for success.
