Today we’d like to introduce you to April Sapp.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I grew up in Houston TX and always enjoyed taking pictures of my sisters and friends. I didn’t know I would do it full time until later when I had my little boy. I wanted to capture every moment. In my heart, there can never be enough pictures of the beauty we experience each and every day. It is all we have to hold onto of the past. Making memories for my clients is such a joy and inspiration to me to live each moment with purpose. I am truly blessed to get to do what I do!
Based in North Dallas TX, April loves capturing the fresh, joyful and beautiful moments that will be passed down from generation to generation. The priceless memories photography brings to the mom, the dad, the senior and the child is beyond lovely. “I get the privilege of preserving memories that your grandchildren will get to look at fifty years from now. I love getting to meet beautiful new faces every day and telling their unique story to the world!”
Please tell us about your art.
Fresh, Joyful. Natural sunlit photos are what I enjoy and strive for with each and every session. I do it all. Newborn, Family, Senior, Milestone and Proposals. I love the candid in-between moments as well that my clients can feel at home with.
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
I think we have all been influenced by the world around us. Each and every one of us is facing a struggle today or has faced one in the past. My goal as an artist is to bring out the joyful moments during a photo session that my clients can one day look at and remember how good their life is.
