Hi Ashley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I grew in Oklahoma City, very humble beginnings. Known mostly for going down the statistical rabbit hole in most that most delinquents do in underserved communities.
Finally decided to take charge of my life; much to my surprise, Contracting & Repair was a hidden gift of mine. After several tests, successes, failure. In the field experience and proper guidance, I am now Specializing in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & all other general repairs. Currently building the enterprise “GHS Renovations.”
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Coming from little to no experience was tough when I came in the field in 2018, especially in a male-dominated industry where they expect you to magically know everything or else they assume you are underqualified.
HVAC and Electrical Were my main struggles starting off. But 5 years later, I can take on almost any project thrown my way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My overall goal is to coach, mentor and connect women and underprivileged youth to learn these valuable skills without having to fork over thousands of dollars of out-of-field training.
The money is great!!! From the moderately simple things to the heavy-duty jobs, it’s an all-around win-win! Did I mention there are perks? discounted living, Merchandise marked down, and great vendor connections regardless of my color, age, or sex, I was able to beat all barriers in this industry. I have helped revive properties in order for them to sell and double its value; I have mentored new coming technicians with proper training and personal insight
I have serviced hundreds of homeowners and renters in the DFW, focusing in on client fulfillment and long-term relationships
