Bobby, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m an online entrepreneur, founder and owner of Black Anchor Design, an independent Brand Strategy Consultancy servicing local, national and international Brands.
I was born in Panama City, Panama, (military brat). For the past 22 years, I’ve called Texas home. A proud of two wonderful young ladies and my dog named Tank. I’m also an award-winning designer, fishing enthusiasts, public speaker, a movie buff and a podcaster.
I started my design career at the age of 15. Designing Merchandise for local bands and that progressed to national and international Bands. That landed me a job at a record label and that job gave me the opportunity to learn and work in the design industry.

I established Black Anchor Design in 2009 as a platform to leave my corporate job and pursue my own path. For the past eight years, Black Anchor Design has become it’s on breathing and living consultancy.
Has it been a smooth road?
The struggle is real! I know for a fact that being an entrepreneur takes moxie and a bit insanity. We leave stability to pursue freedom and uncertainty but those obstacles are what makes a true entrepreneur successful. Clients will stiff you, they will do a 180 and go back on their word, or just plain steal your idea but the best practice is to keep going. Their millions of potential clients out there!

We consult and help brands tell their story, define problems, recognize opportunities, reach audiences, develop new products and services by finding solutions to produce innovation. We have domain expertise on cross-functional platforms to grow awareness.

We only take one or two clients a month. So we get to work one-on-one with our clients to really understand their business.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
It’s a sleeping giant. Where country meets city. The dream is growing out here. The new and old economy is mixing and flourishing. Plus, we have the best BBQ in TX. I have front row seats to Fort Worth new persona.
