Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Stovall.
Brittany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Funny story.. I started as a kid in college that needed a job. I applied at a temp agency for position inside the General Motors Arlington plant. The next week the Temp Agency happened to call me back and told me that an employer was very interested in meeting me for Liaison Representative position.
Little did I know that interview would changed me life. I met one of my mentors. He taught me so much about automotive manufacturing and building business relationships. Most importantly, he taught me how to know my self-worth in a male-dominated industry. I was encouraged to start my own quality control service company with all the knowledge I learned.
Years later that same mentor lead me to one of the biggest introduction of my life my now 5 year business partner and Cofounder of Assured Quality Systems Paulina Sandoval. Together with our experience and business relationships Paulina and I built company from the ground up. Not in our wildest dream did we think that we would generate a multimillion dollar company in a 5 years. The journey is truly a humbling experience daily.
Has it been a smooth road?
Of course not! Every journey has its failures and its successes. We’ve stumbles on new projects that just didn’t make business sense, growing pains, but from each failure, lesson were learned. The tough times allow you to become a strategic thinker.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Assured Quality Systems, LLC – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Assured Quality Systems is a certified woman and minority-owned business that provides strategic quality control services to manufacturing companies. Our platform is set up to provide quality control services to OEMs, Tier 1, and Tier 2 suppliers. AQS offers services such containment, sorting, rework, and quality liaison support. Pretty much in words to the unfamiliar if a manufacturer has a part that defective AQS will come in-house contain all the material that the manufacturer has in there facility and in transit, until certified (good) material is received.
I’m most proud of the diversity in our staff. We’re a very multicultural, multi-gender, and equality workforce. It’s a privilege to say.
What set us most apart is that we have adopted a do what it takes attitude and I know our customer appreciate our work ethics to get the job done with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that you can literally eat almost any food in this city that you can think of… Vietnamese, Moroccan, authentic Mexican, Korean, southern, and my favorite Lao. We have so much culture. Bishop Art District, Trinity Grove, and Uptown… Dallas is the spot!
