Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittni Wells.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Brittni. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I knew from the time I was a sophomore in high school that becoming a hairstylist is what I wanted to do! I love the transformation, the actual change I am doing to someone’s hair but also the change I am making with their confidence. It hasn’t always been an easy road, I hit a few bumps along the way but I am so grateful for where I am today and the people I am surrounded by!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I became a mother very early into my career, which made it difficult to build a business and still keep my home life in check. Finding the perfect work-life balance had been my greatest struggle. Working a schedule that was conducive to being a parent but also being able to provide for my child was very hard for me. I definitely worked in my fair share of salons before I found the right fit for me.
Brittni at David Ryan Salon – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am all about the blondes! For sure my “specialty”. They are my absolute favorite. I love the brightness you can put into someone’s hair to make it pop and really bring it to life – without taking the life out of it! Healthy hair is always my first priority and any blonding service is definitely a process. I am also a certified Brazilian Blowout stylist. It will change your LIFE! Especially in this Texas humidity.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is overcoming all the obstacles that you initially thought would keep you from reaching your end goal. My goal has always been happiness. To be happy in your work place and be able to provide for your family while doing what you love. Never giving up or changing your mind or losing focus on what you want in life. You will eventually find your happy place.
