Meet Chloe Saltarelli of Chloe Saltarelli Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Saltarelli.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Photography for me began at a very young age. As a little girl, I recall wanting to capture every special moment, as I somehow intuitively knew those moments wouldn’t last forever. As far back as elementary school, I have photographs I took with my parents’ old Polaroid instant camera of family gatherings, the last day of school, the first day of school, school plays, birthday parties, etc.

I didn’t actively pursue my passion for photography until 2015. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Journalism degree in 1998. I started my career in radio and TV, which were incredibly exciting and fun jobs. I then had the honor of working for the Cooper Aerobics Center alongside Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper, who is considered the ‘Father of Aerobics’. I transitioned into corporate America and was a Territory Manager for a global supplement company. I covered five states and managed over 100 accounts. I loved the health and wellness aspect of my career, and continue to live that lifestyle to this day. In 2015, I was ready to make a career change and took a leap of faith by launching Chloe Saltarelli Photography!

With the help of friends and my very supportive family encouraging me and allowing me to photograph them, I began my photography career. My business has grown primarily through word of mouth. Doors kept opening and I just knew I had made the right decision. I surrounded myself with members of the Professional Photographers of America and was extremely blessed to work with some pretty incredible photographers who mentored me along the way. I am a contributing photographer for Dallas Yoga Magazine, Castle Hills Neighbors and Carrollton Neighbors magazines. I am also the ‘blogtographer’ for Brianna Cannon’s lifestyle and fashion blog, Red Lips & Nails.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
For the most part, I would say my photography journey has been a pretty smooth road, with a few minor bumps along the way. It’s nothing compared to the stress I encountered in corporate America! The biggest obstacle would be ME! I sometimes get in my own way! HA! I have been truly blessed with a phenomenal “tribe” that supports me, encourages me and lifts me up! I am constantly learning new ways to perfect my craft. Every company has obstacles, mine have been that I started a new business!

Unlike my previous career, always working for someone else, the challenge has been that I’m responsible for the entire operation! I’m the photographer, editor, marketer, public relations gal & bookkeeper! Oh, and I’m also a wife, mother, daughter in law, friend, etc.! Owning your own business is a huge undertaking! There are lots of hats to wear on a daily basis! But once I broke free from the “golden handcuffs” as I like to say, I have never looked back!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Chloe Saltarelli Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I love that as a photographer you capture moments in time that can never be reproduced again. My true talent is bringing out beauty and emotion in my subjects. It is my job as a photographer to ensure you look and feel your absolute best during your session with me. I love capturing memories for my clients and creating beautiful images that they will cherish forever.

Chloe Saltarelli Photography specializes in natural light and portraits photography including high school seniors, children, families, event photography & professional headshots in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.

I am a contributing photographer for Dallas Yoga Magazine. I have been an active ‘yogi’ for nearly 20 years. It amazes me that my love of yoga and photography have collided! I have been recently published in D Magazine and Dallas Jewish Monthly magazine. I am the ‘blogtographer’ for Brianna Cannon’s Red Lips & Nails lifestyle and fashion blog.

Chloe Saltarelli is an active member of the Texas Professional Photographers Association(TPPA) and the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). I want to celebrate children at every age and to help families decorate their worlds with highly personal artwork. Artwork that matters.

No matter what stage your child is in, there is no wrong time to have him or her photograph. We invite you to set up a time for a portrait consultation. Check out our client raves here: https://www.chloesaltarelliphotography.com/testimonials

Most importantly, I’ve been saved by grace and try my very best to love people the way Christ loves me. XO

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I believe that luck is something that is absolutely in our own hands, which we can easily influence through the decisions and actions that we take on a daily basis. Our expectations will affect whether or not we try something new (i.e. starting a new business), how we interact with others, and how we persist in the face of failure. A wise woman once told me, “Your indecision IS your decision.” We have everything inside of us to be successful. It’s a decision each and every day. I honestly wouldn’t say any of it boils down to luck.

I have a very strong faith in God and feel that I have had a very blessed life since day one. Others have told me I have a guardian angel working overtime. LOL! So, to answer your question, I would say I have been blessed beyond measure with regard to my personal and professional life. I have been fortunate enough to have doors open and doors close. Sometimes people are brought into your life for just a season, and that’s OK. I have learned something valuable from each person that has been a part of this journey with me.
