Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Livingston.
Christina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story begins with a love of one-of-a-kind jewelry, arts, and crafts. I thoroughly enjoyed going to arts and crafts festivals, and I was particularly drawn to the jewelry. I decided one day to experiment with making my own jewelry, and started by making necklaces and earrings using beads and natural stones. I showed my friends and co-workers what I had created, and they were impressed, so they encouraged me to make more jewelry. Next thing I knew, friends and family are asking to wear my pieces and suggested I sell them.
I later ventured into wire wrapping due to my love of wire wrapped pendants. I decided to take a class on how to wire wrap at a local arts and crafts store. The instructor taught me the basics and before the class was done, she told me I could use the extra time left toward another class because I was a natural. She inspired me to continue my craft and looked forward to seeing my future work. Over time, I came up with a style of wrapping that I felt I could call my own. I incorporated different wires, stones and beads to further bring out the beauty of the stones I used. That was how Prettied was born to deliver my one of a kind pieces where art meets jewelry.
Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle has been honing and practicing my passion while working a full-time job on top of it. It’s a struggle finding a happy medium in the balance between work and my love for creating jewelry.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Prettied – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Prettied specializes in wire wrapped one-of-a-kind pendants, bracelets, and earrings. The pieces are very versatile and can be worn for various occasions, whether you’re attending a formal dinner or going to the local pub with friends. In my opinion, you don’t have to wear a chunky piece of jewelry to make a statement. A unique and elegant piece that catches your eye can easily be a conversation starter too.
My proudest moment was when I noticed I was starting to build a following. I pour love into each piece that I create by hand, and it’s inspiring to see people share in that love each time they find a piece that they’re drawn to. It’s exciting to play a part in helping women feel special, confident and beautiful.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
One of the highlights the DFW area is that there is always something for everyone. Whether you enjoy food and drinks, shopping, sporting events, art shows, museums, or amusement parks, there is no shortage of things to do.
Unfortunately, the accessibility to getting to all these activities can sometimes be a hassle with the constant barrage of traffic jams caused by highway construction, especially within and between major cities, it deters some people from getting out to enjoy what they have to offer.

I live in Tulsa and purchased many pieces of this beautiful Jewlery a few years ago. I wear it but have given so much away as gifts. I love it and think it’s some of the most beautiful and unique pieces iv ever purchased. It’s very reasonably priced and I feel like if you bought it in certain gift shops it would cost a fortune.
This is a very good article and the jewlery is gorgeous. Keep up the beautiful work Christina.
