Today we’d like to introduce you to Cord Stone.
Cord, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2007, I started Stargazer Productions with the launch of The Space Rockers, a themed, comedic show-band complete with costumes, characters, choreography, a laser light show, and talking space ship. The idea was to create a unique, fun brand of entertainment that sets events apart from others, making a memorable impression for guests.
I performed as Captain Cosmos in The Space Rockers for years. The Space Rockers calendar got booked very rapidly, prompting me to create more party bands to fill the demand for clients that don’t want the run of the mill kind of cover bands. Today, Stargazer Productions has several unique bands: The Space Rockers, Electric Circus, The After Party, Satellite, Supernova, First Class and The New Waves that perform all over Texas and the south. Stargazer plans to continue to set a high benchmark for live band entertainment.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been a lot of good times and a lot of challenges that I have encountered through the years as Stargazer Productions has grown. “The Show Must Go On” is a saying that involves much planning beforehand and overcoming obstacles that occur on show nights. One of the biggest struggles is getting calls on show nights with some situation that I have to solve very quickly and often at odd hours to ensure that the show will go on.
From band vehicles broken down on the side of the road to equipment malfunctions, and all of the other unforeseen surprises, Stargazer shows will always go on no matter what the challenge.
Working as a team, Stargazer’s awesome band members work hard with me to solve any problems.

Bringing the Las Vegas sparkle to Texas and all across the southern states, Stargazer Productions’ show bands are creating unparalleled, memorable live show bands with our unique brand of entertainment, Stargazer Productions specializes in creating energetic, live party bands for weddings, corporate events, private events, fundraisers, galas, clubs and festivals.
We provide creative, funky and fun bands instead of common “play it safe” cover bands. For those needing a traditional band, any Stargazer band can don formal attire and can be customized with additional musicians, horn sections or dancers.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t classify myself as lucky or unlucky. I set goals for myself and my business and work very hard to achieve them. A lot of positive things have occurred to me in this business as well as a lot of challenges that are not very motivating when confronted with them, but they are things that have to be dealt with in order for the business to maintain itself and to grow. Sure, I complain when I feel like a rain cloud is following me around, but instead of standing around getting soaked, I try my best to figure out how to fix the problems.
