Meet Deshawn Charmele Weekly of B.O.B Beauty Outward Beyond in Collin County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deshawn Charmele Weekly.

Deshawn Charmele, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got started when I competed in an international pageant five years ago. I wanted to get the experience of meeting ladies for all over the world in a pageant setting. I found that it was very rewarding and wanted to share my platform with them. It became a great networking with these ladies.

So much that they came and competed in an international pageant held in the United States of America. I became friends with ladies that were doing thing in their communities locally and overseas. Hellen Walufa a female boxers in Africa and I became friends through me reaching out to her because of the non-profit which helps provide female girls with sanitary napkins. I encourage others to donate to her foundation. These girls need help.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been easy; I am in need of companies or people to spread the word about donating to this foundation. If we can help one girl, it will be worth helping many.

Please tell us about B.O.B Beauty Outward Beyond.
BOB BEAUTY OUTWARD BEYOND is just what is says beauty beyond looks. What I want to convey is that you are beautiful no matter what walk of life you are from. Beyond means to be looking not at what you wear it is inward. The Bible says, in 1 Samuel 16:7 “Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart”. Through this business I am starting, I want people to see me as not a pretty face but a woman that has a heart to reach others, praying that their talents find their purpose.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood would be living in Oakland, California and going to the park with my late mother Weda Murl Weekly and siblings late brother Jason and Lennia. We would go around Lake Merrit watching how people were have fun playing ball and playing in the sandboxes. I loved those days.
