Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Thomas.
Destiny Thomas is an Author, Podcast host, Infertility Advocate (PCOS and Endometriosis), Prayer and Discernment Coach and Motivational Speaker. Destiny was diagnosed with Endometriosis and P.C.O.S. and was told by her doctor that she would never experience the gift of birthing a child. So she neglected finishing her education, resented aspects of her faith, and lost all concentration for maintaining financial independence. For years, Destiny filled the void of being a mother with uncontrolled credit card spending, fatty foods, and senseless vacations.
God turned everything around for her on February 8, 2015 with the birth of her son. Through that journey, she realized the importance in truly trusting in God. She was put to the test of trusting God when she began the journey of “REALIZING DESTINY”. On October 21, 2017, God instructed her to leave her corporate job after ten years of employment without a plan A or B, she did it and allowed God to unravel what it is he put her on this earth to do. Since leaving corporate, She has obediently been using her God-given talents to be the consistent reminder to women and men of how good God is.
Her message is that “before we were placed in our mother’s womb God created a blueprint for us to fulfill here on earth. He didn’t only create the blueprint but he also has the step by step guide of how we can achieve it, if we are diligent at seeking his face daily, asking him for guidance, and being still long enough to listen.” Through Realizing Destiny God led her to become a Prayer and Discernment Coach known as “The Prayerpist”, conducting One on One and group prayer sessions very similar to therapy/life coach sessions helping people tap into their true praying power, allowing them to live out the plan and purpose God has for their lives and businesses; host of a prayer call publicly on social media 3 days a week reaching people from all over the world; the host of her very own podcast (Realizing Destiny); complete her very first non fiction book; and motivate, inspire and encourage thousands of women that are still battling this emotional rollercoaster known as infertility and those struggling with their identity.
Has it been a smooth road?
Absolutely not! Some of the struggles that I have had along the way we’re learning how to stand up for me more than I did for others and what I believed they wanted for me. I also struggled with how to charge my worth and not what everyone could afford along with learning that I will not be for everyone.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Realizing Destiny story. Tell us more about the business.
My name is Destiny Thomas. I’m an Author, Podcast host, Prayer and Discernment Coach and Motivational Speaker. I’m known by my clients as The Prayerpist™️, where I specialize in conducting One on One and/or group prayer sessions online (known as Prayerpy). These sessions are very similar to therapy but led by the Holy Spirit allowing us to get to the root quicker than your average session and leave with the tools needed to discern God’s voice for yourself and have clarity. Every session is ended with prayer, the tools to help you discern God’s voice for yourself and a prophetic message from the Lord. This allows you to get unstuck, remove any barriers or obstacles in your way, have clarity immediately and live in your God given purpose.
I am most proud of seeing the many lives changed right before my eyes. To see people shatter the ideas and expectations of the world and find their God given identity and purpose and go for it, is powerful.
What I found while going through therapy is it taught me how to communicate what I had been through and how to vocalize my emotions. Unfortunately, I left with no instructions or directions of how to move forward with that new found knowledge. So with the help of the Holy Spirit I saw a problem and created a solution. Which is why with my sessions you leave with clarity, instructions, and directions from God of how to move forward and how to live in your God given identity and purpose.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I see my industry continuing to strive because I feel we have just hit the surface of how real mental illness is and the impact it has on the lives of so many. I personally see my business growing into in-person sessions where I can be flown all over the world to help as many people as possible.
