Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Lisa Cooney.
Dr. Cooney, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The abuse went on for years. My therapist said that the best I could hope for was a “functional” life. EXCUSE ME?! When I was diagnosed with an incurable disease, the doctor said that the best I could hope for was a lifetime on medication. I DON’T THINK SO!
After an early start with two plus decades of abuse, I made a choice that no matter what happened to me or my body in the past, it could never take away my choice nor my demand to be ALL of me no matter what.
So, I created my living with a business called Live Your ROAR…an empowering activist for others to do the same. It is my invitation that you be who you truly are, essentially, who you truly BE in this wild and wonderful world – and to let go and SOAR to heights yet un-imagined by collaborating with the universe conspiring to bless you.
Together you can ROAR – and create your living the most Radically Orgasmically Alive Reality possible!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There has been many more years not smooth for sure…however these days and recent years have been the creative energy of everything I have chosen to empower myself into. What I mean is each day is a creating adventure into more joy, more possibilities, more choice and greater joy, happiness and freedom than ever before. In the past, every day was a struggle and in every area of my life. It was a chore to get up and live frankly but I chose to live every day and was a demand for change in everything I chose. It wasn’t easy: I wanted and tried to kill myself, I came so close to bankruptcy so many times, I destroyed so many relationships and connections, not consciously of course, but in hindsight I had such a death wish that I now know what I was creating…the destruction of me. I literally was in a trauma cycle known as a tri fold sequencing system that loops one back and back and back into the original traumas and circularly bastardizing everything good into anything horrific. This was my life and I hated it. Then I hit rock bottom, I walked out in front of a bus and planned to die. I saw the lights of the bus and I knew it was over but then I was back on the sidewalk ALIVE. I looked around and no one and nothing was there. It was then I knew I better get to work and change as something obviously desires me to be here. So, I did and Live Your ROAR, LLC it is and Here I am going around the world empowering others to do the same, albeit with hopefully less struggle than I had. So, I dare you to choose beyond your circumstance and be who you truly are destined to be…YOU!

My business Live Your ROAR, LLC targets transitioning Traumatic to Orgasmically Alive! Essentially, I empower people to choose beyond their limitations, their stuckness, their abuse (physically, emotionally, energetically, psychically, relationally, financially, sexually, and sensually) and choose their Radical Aliveness. I empower others from problems to possibilities.
I am a healer, a change agent, an empowering activist, a maverick of consciousness and so much more. I have been through hell and survived. I know the darkness that can eat away at you and destroy everything, even kill you. The energy that I am an invitation for is a beacon of light that awakens you to you underneath all that madness and insanity that so many have duplicated as their reality. I know I duplicated it and recapitulated it over and over and over and over again. But no more.
I am known for my Voice America radio show entitled Beyond Abuse, Beyond Therapy, Beyond Anything with over 250,000 listeners. A weekly free radio show that empowers you to Creating Living Beyond Abuse. I call it my labor of love.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The target of Live Your ROAR is to eliminate and eradicate all forms of abuse off this planet so that all individuals may choose to live Radically and Orgasmically Alive. We have tours with my workshops and individual sessions and books planned in Poland, Ireland, Texas, San Francisco, Florida, Canada, Turkey, Alaska, Brazil, Mexico, India and so much more. We have speaking engagements in the works on the world-wide platform and publishing deals on the table. So yes, we have big future plans. Our motto is Go Big or Go Home! I’ve been home and it doesn’t work for me…so I’m going BIG…wanna come?
