Today we’d like to introduce you to Dusti Unger.
Dusti, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve had a long-standing relationship with food. I enjoy making recipes and hosting friends and family to share in memorable meals. The love has grown to the point that I am now creating a blog (everydangdish.com) where I will share great recipes, places to get good eats, and travel adventures. The name of the blog was inspired by a seemingly ordinary event: washing the dishes. After one particular meal that required an assortment of cookware, John made the comment “we used every DANG dish for this meal”. And so it began.
A friend and I recently created cookbook containing a collection of our favorite recipes inspired by those closest to us. The cookbook is called Circle of Friends Cookbook and is available through Blurb (https://www.blurb.com/b/9747610-circle-of-friends-cookbook). Food is also a key theme in recent travels. In 2019 we went to Thailand and took cooking classes in three different cities. My mission is to “make every meal a moment” and I love inspiring others to prepare, share, and discover new culinary creations.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The learning curve with WordPress isn’t necessarily easy but I press on. I’m constantly looking for creative ways to break through and be different in this Influencer space. I’m taking one day at a time and not overthinking it. This is my passion project so it’s important to stay grounded and have fun in the learning process.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am embarking in the blogger/influencer space and excited for what’s to come. My personality, spirit and passion for anything I do is what sets me apart from most. I exude energy into what I do and it’s contagious. I’m proud of the fact that I am doing this adventure. I made so many excuses and finally, one day woke up and said I can and will do this. So here I am.
What were you like growing up?
I was and still am a go-getter, I don’t take no for an answer and I am known for getting whatever needs to get done, done. I’m a strong type A, extrovert that is determined, confident and never met a stranger.
