Meet Faiza Rehman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faiza Rehman.

Faiza, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Reflecting on my life from beginning to current, it has truly been a journey- one I can say is the epitome of what we deem “The American Dream.” My background is originally in IT. I had earned a degree in Computer Science and was immersed in program development for the United Nations. I then fell in love with my now husband and we ventured off to start a new life here in the United State where we are currently raising our beautiful daughters. During our early days here, I started volunteering in our community with organizing events and various programs. As we moved around from state-to-state, my knack for organizing these events follow and soon was born “Events by Faiza”. I started to manage social gatherings, corporate events, and then weddings. The key to success for me was two things: 1.) having no substitute for hard work and 2.) having love and care for every couple we worked with. This has enabled me to maintain my business now for eight strong years.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Any entrepreneur will tell you that starting a business takes an immense amount of labor and consumes so much time. In the beginning, you are the accountant, you are the marketer, you are the receptionist, and the CEO. You are responsible for everything good that happens and you are just as accountable for everything bad. On top of that, you have to still deliver a top of the line service to your clients, making sure that you have surpassed all of their needs and want by listening every step of the way.

Please tell us about your business.
Here at Events by Faiza, we focus on event management and event design. A few of the several services we offer include: event planning, day and month of event coordination, and event design where we bring to life the décor our couples have envisioned. We take pride in specializing events for multicultural clients from all over the world. From Africa, to the Middle East, and South Asia, we design, organize, and execute events from the most intimate into the thousands. We serve clients all over Texas, but have also extended our reach to several areas of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee and Louisiana. With design and decor being a passion, we have created so many different beautiful jaw-dropping setups for our customers from different ethnicities and cultures around the world. It is hard to be proud of just one event. I think what sets us apart from others in the industry is that we listen carefully to what our customer needs. We start from there and keep customers close throughout the entire planning and design journey. Events by Faiza is an experience, one that our clients have fallen in love with.

What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
My proudest moment is when a bride, couple or even their family comes back to hug us and give us a big thank you. It is moments like that where I know we have surpassed a customer’s expectations me and my family feel honored.
